Also, the elementary school got bumped up to a level 5 school - that's the highest level in the state! It's the only one in the county and not very many in the state. Yay for them. |

Yaahhh!!!
Keep those brags coming! Love to hear of great accomplishments! Especially at such a tender age...signs of good things in the future for sure! |
Congrats to Jakob!! What a great accomplishment! Reading is so fundamental to learning all the other subjects that if he's doing this well so early, he's bound for greatness!! |
That's Fabulous!! Good job, Jakob!! |
Keep his nose in the books! Video games will drain the brain, the longer he can keep reading and processing (ask him questions about the books he reads so comprehension also improves) the more his brain grows.
Hooray on the school too! A great school, especially at this young age, can stimulate him for life. Be a proud mommy! |
Congratulations! Being a good reader is one of the greatest gifts. Enjoy your little scholar - it goes so fast! |
Yeah!
So has your (Jakob's) school experience gotten better since that first week? |

So has your (Jakob's) school experience gotten better since that first week? Not yet. He's been getting green faces everyday, but we got his progress report last week. They go from O "Outstanding", S "Satisfactory", and N "Needs Practice". Here is what it said: "He got Ns (needs practice) in the following: Listens carefully Stays on task Follows directions Follows class rules does his/her best work He got a S (satisfactory) in treats others with respect. Then the teacher's note said: "Jakob needs LOTS of help coloring in the lines, writing his name, etc... He is not where he should be at this time. Jakob also wants to play during worktime." Jason & I are supposed to meet with her next week to find out exactly what she expected out of him. I mean, it doesn't seem like he should be bringing home all green faces if his classroom behavior is so bad! That is very unlike Jake too, he gets a ton of praise for his behavior from Sunday school at church, his preschools, etc.. I'm not sure what the problem is. Also...he colors in the lines and writes his name just fine at home. A little messy, but I can't fault him for that because of mine and Jason's handwriting! lol |
Thanks everyone. I'm surprised he's doing so well with it! Then again, we used to read ALL the time together before he went to school. |
That sounds like me in elementary school!!
My IEP says "Does not work and play well with others"! It also said that I was disruptive and challenged the classroom rules. Guess what? Turns out I was gifted and wasn't being challenged enough. Color inside the lines? Lines are meant to be crossed!!!! Maybe he's an evil super genius and you should have named him Ron. |
Way to go Jake. |
