We have been thinking of giving the dogs a little shorter doo. Has anyone tried the Flowbee pet groomer. I think it attaches to your vaccum and raises the hair up as it cuts. It sounds like a great idea, but didn't know if it would really work. I would appreciate anyone's experience with this. Stormi, Jack, and Annabelle |

I would like to get my hands on one those for Bunkie. Do you know where I could get one? |
Hello,
I have only been able to find it on Ebay. They have 2 different flowbee's ....one for people and one for pets. I haven't tried it yet, but I think it will work great for trimming and for puppy cuts. If I find it someplace else, I will let you know. Stormi and co. |

A friend at work uses this on himself and son, but not on dogs. Works fine though. Flowbee website says you need the pet attachment to use on your dog. Hope this helps. cher |
Actually, the flowbee seems to spread the suction in to wide an area and doesn't lift the fur enough. The flowbees competitor, the Robocut works well but you will go through a blade $9.99 everytime you cut the dog. Search "Robocut" on ebay. |
You also have to have a fairly "mat free" dog to use one of these "contraptions". |
Thank you, John, for the recommendation on the robocut, I will check it out.
Jack and Annabelle are mat free and we have been keeping them that way, but with summer here and kids out of school, it would be nice not to have to keep up with it. In the beginning, I said I would always keep them in full coat, now I would like to just trim a little off so that maybe it wouldn't mat as easily. I don't keep a collar on except for walks and such, but Jack can start to mat up in as little as a few hours if we don't pay close attention to the neck area. He is 13 months old and his hair seems to be changing every other day. The texture is changing, it seems to be thinning out and changing from black to gray in spots. It seems to be changing from rump to head in that direction. I think when it stops going through this change that the grooming gets easier again.?.? I had thought of doing the cutting myself, but I didn't figure I would get it too look very good, so I figured something like the flowbee could at least make it even. My husband just had surgery and my doctor said I might have rotor cuff surgery so I am just trying to make sure that everyone stays taken care of. Thank's for everyone's input I appreciate it. My son's 4th birthday party is tomorrow. It is The Wiggles theme. I have a lot of wrapping still to do, I procrastinated to long. Have a great weekend, especially those who are lucky enough to go to the NEOESR picnic. Stormi and co. |
I have 2 flowbees, I have been using the flowbee for years now. I cut my Pomeranian dogs with it, as well as PErsian cats. It does a awesome job, and as long as you have a good vac. it will work great. |
You guys must have very docile sheepies, Archie goes bananas when the Vacuum cleaner is switched on, he loves pouncing it, wrestleing it etc

i have one to let me know if it works but moon ray hates the vaccum and i don't know if i can get him to sit
