http://www.komotv.com/news/story.asp?id=45238 Don't let your dogs near Gorilla Glue. If they swallow any, it expands when it contact water. |

I would have to guess that swallowing any kind of glue wouldn't be
real good for any dog. If the dog only swallowed "some" how can the vet have taken out 3 pounds (IIRC) the size of a basketball? Sounds fishy to me. I know it expands, but that seems to defy the laws of physics. It kills me when people react like the woman in that article; 'what if this happened to a child?' Sounds a little like blaming the product/co. for what happened. The product did what it was supposed to do. We get distracted or don't think the dog will get into something, and the next thing you know... Accidents happen. Unfortunate and scary. I am glad the dog is ok! Shellie |
I agree... there are tons of household products that can be dangerous to pets or people... so I guess you have to choose not to have the product in your home, or keep it out of reach.
Still, it's good to know... I've never heard of "gorilla glue" but I wouldn't buy it becuase a) you just never know what dogs or kids will do and b) it must have been appealing to the dog in the first place to eat so much. |
It surprises me that you've never heard of it! Really great stuff -
I wouldn't be without it now that I've used it. It's just one of those things you have to keep away from children, and well, dogs.... like just about everything else in my house it seems. and btw, I didn't mean to sound snotty about that first post. When I re-read what I wrote I thought to myself, I must be in a bad mood. sorry Shellie |
That is crazy! |
Gorilla Glue is awesome! We keep ours up HIGH on a shelf though, mostly because we don't want the boys to think they can use it for their art work. |
