No, I don't want to go to bed ! ..

We have a ritual every night with Ollie, "come on Ollie, bed time", so he jumps up on the sofa, back to us and looks the other way, I'm sure he thinks that when he gets on the sofa he is invisible. Mmmmm yes where is that HUGE sheepie, nope haven't a clue LOL. Then after some cuddles and kisses, Ollie goes to bed. Only last night he didn't want to, so we let him come up to our room where he promptly got comfy and slept there all night - have we set ourselves up or what ! soppy soppy sheepie parents, that or stupid parents LOL

I guess we fall into this category too.. Murphy sleeps with us every night. He's my snuggle bug.

Brenda,
Murphy (I get to sleep on the bed, while the big lug sleeps on the floor)
Dudley (I'm a big lug)
hahaha Brenda  Poor Duds!

Yup M, could be a big mistake..lol...Im not trying to hijack your thread, but this fits right in....

Many of you know that Brian wanted an "outside" dog...well, in the beginning, I let him have his way. BUT, I slowly allowed Panda inside on extremely cold or hot nights..now, she sleeps inside all of the time...AND the other night, Brian and I were watching tv in bed and Brian says....Up girl, Up....Panda jumps on the bed, snuggles with us for a while, then jumps down...however, ever since that night, she comes up to the bed and whines to get up....I think Brian has started a new trend.....Oh has that man come a long way :D
Darcy, Just remind B that he started it.

If I give Pepsi a goodnight kiss after he is already in the bedroom, usually on the floor by my side of the bed, he sees that as an invitation to come up and cuddle. I don't mind. As long as he isn't taking up too much space.
I don't mind sharing with one, but when two or three join me.....and step on my head, flop on my chest or hold my feet down with their chin....that's uncomfortable.
Well when I say time for bed she runs to her cage gets in and sticks out her head waiting for her bed time cookie.

The part where Ollie jumps on the sofa made me laugh. Because when we get up in the morning or the last pee of the night she runs to the futon and hides her head and sticks her bum in the air. Very funny.
When I say it's time for bed all 3 race down the hall to the bedroom and the 2 big ones jump on the bed. (Our bed is quite high up) London attempts to jump in but only suceeds in bouncing off the side of the mattress. She will do this a couple of times until we finally pick her up and put her in the bed. Normally I am in bed first which means I must get in the center of the bed, Lucky gets on the right side, Sam on the left both with their heads on my chest, and London, well London flops down right on top of my forehead and head with her belly and proceeds to bite my ears. (Hubby has to find a spot wherever he can. ) As they slowly all get their cuddle time, one by one will jump off the bed and go sleep in the hallway on the cold floor.

You have to allow at least 30 minutes when you go to bed before the lights can be turned out and you can truly go to sleep.
I love when they think they are invisible. When we are getting ready to go out without Dixie (which is not often), she hears they keys, and sees that we have shoes on, she quickly runs to the study and "hides" behind the chair in front of the computer. We say" Where's Dixie?" "She must be hiding." It really is cute, but can get tiresome when she won't go in her crate.

We also made the "just one night on the bed won't hurt" mistake. We were out of town and thought she deserved a "special" night in a hotel bed. She slept the whole night in the bed, and now thinks the bed is hers. It is very hard to fit 2 big people and one large sheepie...but worth it when she stretches out and gives a big sheepie sigh.
 Awwwwwwwww
 Norty Ollie... la la la la ha ha ha !!!!
Maizie use to do that too, But we could never get in bed. So when we moved I got her a nice bed and now she sleeps down in the utility.. She seems very happy down there...

Any more nights in the bed with Mom & Dad?? Did you really start something?
