After almost two years of making the decision to purchase a dog, selecting a breed (oes of course), finding a breeder - we are finally purchasing a puppy which we will be able to bring home in about 6 weeks. I have some concerns about the trip home in the car as it is about a 6 hour trip. Apart from the usual concerns of urination, homesickness - I am most concerned incase she becomes car sick. Anyone who has experienced motion sickness knows how awful it can make you feel - I was just wondering if anyone had experienced it with their pup or had any advice.
I am so excited about having a new addition to our family that I see OES in my sleep.
Thanks

Congratulations! You must be getting close to "the date" with your new family member.
I've never had an OES who got carsick as a puppy or an adult, so I'm afraid I don't have anything useful to offer. Hopefully, the motion of the car, and being held in your lap/arms will lull the furbaby to sleep for most of the trip.
I hope you'll post pictures once the puppy is home. |
