I will try and post a picture , and tell all about the special girl later. I just wanted everyone to know how wonderful it has been reading your posts and it has helped me so much on a day that I feel as though my heart is crushed. She had congestive heart failure and did not respond to meds., and we did all we could. My house is so quiet without her, but reading your memorials, I know I will get through it to hopefully a day another special one (Maxie was my 2nd, Crumpet lived to 13 died in 93) can come into our hearts and fill the void. She/he will have such "big paws to fill". It is so hard. |

I'm so sorry for your loss and so glad you found this site. She sounds like a wonderful girl and much loved. I look forward to hearing more about dawgk (including how you picked her name ) and seeing pictures too. My heart goes out to you. It is hard . . . |
I am so sorry about Maxie. I know what you are going through, we lost our Mopsy in January at 10 1/2 and I still miss her. And like you I stumbled upon a stuffed sheepie in a store that day as my mom took me out to keep me company in my grief. The stuffed toy was laying in this way that Mopsy used to lay and I have never seen another dog lay with it's back paws that way. It was like it was there just for me.
We got a new baby shortly after because I couldn't bear to be without her. Our new sheepie Harry has been so wonderful for all of us. We will keep you in our thoughts. Take care. |
Oh is her name Maxie or Dawgk? I'm confused. |
I am so sorry. Words are never enough but rest assured that all of our hearts skip a beat when a new posting comes up on the Rainbow Bridge section.
I wish our furry kids could live forever.....I know Maxie will live forever in your heart. |

I am very sorry to hear of your loss.
May memories of her bring your comfort. |
I'm so very sorry for you, please write and tell us all about your special girl, pictures too. |
I can totally relate to what you are going through. We lost our beloved Sheepie, Rutherford, on May 16. He was 13.5. We were devastated -- he was the center of our household and he is still sorely missed. Time does make things a bit easier to bear. We keep pictures of him all over the house, including some we got taken of him a couple of years ago by a pet photographer. We treasure all the memories we have of him.
And we just (less then one week ago) welcomed Brinley into our home. She is a five month old beautiful sheepie puppy. However long you need to grieve, take it. It is an important process to go through when a family member dies and cannot be minimized. My heart goes out to you. |
I'm so sorry. No words can express how badly it hurts to lose a loved member of the family. I lost mine a week ago and found this forum, like you, while looking at oes sites. I wish I had words to make you feel better. I know that one day, I'll have a BIG spread (hopefully near St. Francis) to have all my 4 legged loved ones with me! I know you'll be there with your Maxie and maybe they can have a playdate! Sometimes it just helps to know that others are crying with you. Please know that I am.

Hi ,
I'm sorry of the loss of your Maxie. If we could, we'd have them with us forever and in some ways we do ..they remain in our hearts. Maxie and Crumpet are playing happily over the rainbow bridge along with many of their sheepie friends. The pain is so intense losing such a beloved friend and I'm glad you found this forum to help you. We all understand and many have been through it before. Hugs to you Marianne and the boys PS- Drmoira, Hugs to you too. |
I also found this site the day after loosing Porridge, 11 yrs 4 months. It really helped, everyone is so kind. I lasted a whole day before finding a litter born that night...11 weeks later and we now share our lives with Teddy Edward. |

Yes, and its such a blessing to see His mighty hand at work in our lives. I too, am very sorry for your loss. God has indeed brought you to a place filled with people that really do care. You will find much comfort, support and guidance here. May God bless, and comfort you in your sorrow. Pam (mouthypf) |
Thoughts and prayers are with you during this difficult time... keep the memories alive in your heart and know your sheepie had a good life with you. |
