No More Tears.....!

(That is tears as in tearing of panyhose, not tears from crying...)

Dixie and Bosley have spent the summer uncrated during the day. They wrestle constantly and may break things so they are kept apart. My kids get up at noon or so, so it is actually just the mornings.

I have Dixie in the family room, separated by a baby gate from Bosley who is the kitchen/hallway. I also need to keep the door closed, as she will jump the gate as desired..

The morning ritual involves me and the dogs getting up, coming downstairs, then thier bathroom and feeding routine, Dixie's meds, my coffee and computer time, then each a cookie and they get into their appropriate spaces and I go to work.

I have been coming downstairs in track pants and changing into work clothes in the laundry room right before leaving the house. The past few weeks I have been going to work in Skorts often, so haven't been bothering to do the track pants routine. And guess what? I have confirmed that the dogs no longer jump on me in the mornings, over food, or coming in from potty time or whatever.

I guess I am excited that I may be able to dress in business attire right away, and actually save a few minutes in the morning. This is a great thing, and I am hoping it will continue into the fall/winter. I am suspecting that the excitement from the first few snowfalls may change that, but so far so good.

LOL... that's good news :)
Your story made me laugh because I, too, put my skirts or pants on right before I leave. Not because of jumping, just rubbing up against me. Lucy loses gobs of hair and Bear is dropping a lot these days too so it's just easier to keep hair off my clothes. Last week I was wearing a longer tunic top that came down to my hips. I was rushing around to leave in the morning and made it all the way out of the driveway before I realized that my skirt was still in the house. 8O

My brain doesn't work so good in the morning.
Isn't that wonderful, well done, really is a great thing, especially not being sent flying by the sheepies. :D
Well done to Dixie and Bosley
:yay:
Glad you found something that works - I have the same problem, but will try your solution
