Speaking of cars...

Rather than further highjack the thread that this started in, I thought I'd post this here. I was telling some of you about modding the Honda that I just got so I just posted pictures with my new 20" wheels on it. James and I, and all of our friends, are really into cars and we can never just leave them as is. Good wheels can make a bland car look much richer so it was the first thing I did to the Honda. They're the first black wheels that I ever bought and I really like them. Like I said, if I can't be really fast, it'll at least look cool! It'll also look much better after it's lowered too-- I should've just Photoshopped it like that. ;)

Due to the other half, I'm forced to love cars. ...and from working at a dealership of course. It looks good esp with the bigger wheels! I already can't wait for the kids to grow up so we can buy a car for ourselves and not "the kids " (minivans).
You guys, I've never seen (or maybe never noticed) and Element before, and now that you've mentioned it here, I'm seeing them everywhere!!!
I'm glad to hear that the bigger rims make the car handle much more nicely. I also like the new style with the same color fenders.

I have an Element too, a 2004 AWD. It's a great dog/utility vehicle but overall, I don't really like it and prefer to drive our Toyota. Definitely have the blind spot issues and I have long legs (34" in seam), and I always feel all crammed up in the front passenger side.

As much as the suicide doors are convenient for loading, it is a pain in tight parking lots, especially if you have passengers in the back because you kind of get trapped in between the doors.

Plus side, it is great to haul junk and not worry about getting carpets all messy.

It's easy to clean, you can take the seats out and scrub them to death and scrub the floors, etc. I have though, scrubbed every inch of that car and even though it's not that bad, I can't seem to get the dog stink out completely from taking Frank to all the dog shows. Frank was above average on the drooling aspect so I guess it will take a few times of thorough cleaning. My bad for never starting him off in a dog crate.

You mean "Ch. Frank" :D

We can't call him that because he'll get a big head!
I put mats in mine to give the for a little more grip-- Clyde was terrified.

A little pricey for mats but they fit like a glove and Clyde isn't scared anymore. Plus the floor will never get a scratch.

I agree, the clamshell doors can be a little annoying in parking spots but we don't have passengers often so it isn't an issue. Our passengers are thrilled just to have a seat to sprawl out in since my Mini and the BMW didn't have a heck of a lot of room.

Myself, I really like driving it. It's a big change for me so it's a good time. I find it to be a really nice, relaxing cruising car. I fit in it really well and you can't beat the headroom, which is always a problem for me but even more for James because he's long in the torso.

I was going to take my time paying it off but the more I see the new Mini, the more I want it. It'll be out in 2008. I've also been thinking about the new Camaro nonstop too but I don't know if I can make it all the way until 2009! Either way, it's good motivation to pay the Honda off so I can feel ok about buying another car. ;)
WOW!!!!!!! I LOVE THE WAY IT LOOKS!!! I especially like that you have done away with the two tone look, one of the things I DON'T like about the Element. We are still thinking about an Element.

Verve, I am suprised at your comment about the leg room, Doug is over 6' and I am 5'10 and we were amazed at the leg room. I have a Grand Vitara now, and thought it had alot of room. But the Element is way bigger.
please for the love of all that is holy, do not lower your element.

Thanks for the advice, Ed. I can't tell you how much I appreciate it.
Love the wheels. You're right it does make it look richer. I love your neighborhood with the mature trees. Not many neighborhoods like that here in the desert.
Hey, that's a pimped Element!

I've heard these are great... too bad they don't sell them in Mexico. We had to get a FIT instead and it's a cute little car.
Tell me about the seat configurations you mentioned. What do they do?
They can go all way back, flipped up on their sides and hooked to the oh
@!#$ handles on the ceiling, one up, one down, or taken completely out. All four seats can also lay completely flat to make one big bed-like thing. It's pretty cool.
That is pretty cool. 8)
