Dancer's bath today quite an ordeal!

How that poor puppy of mine can still give me kisses after what I put her through this morning amazes me.
She has needed a bath for about a week now but I wasn't feeling well so I didn't get to it till today. Her last bath was about 3 weeks ago. She doesn't really mind the bath itself so much, but today we had to catch upon everything. Her bum had poop stuck to it this morning because one of the kids saw her beginning to poop on the floor and startled her by yelling 'mom she's pooping!'so she sat right down into it.
Anyway, I got her all cleaned up and bathed, and then I noticed the hair in her foot pads was matted a little, so I tried to use clippers to get that out, and that didn't work because she can't stand the sound of it. So then I used baby scissors (rounded tip) and that went better, though my 13 yr old daughter had to hold her pretty tightly, Dancer doesn't like having her feet touched. So, we get through that, giving her lots of praise... and then it's time for ear hair pulling. And Dancer has soooo much ear hair, I plucked some of it about a month ago, but found it impossible to get it all done. This time, I put a little baby powder in each ear, and rubbed it in, and was amazed at how it immediately separated the hairs so I could see very clearly how much I had to do. I started with tweezers, and that was no good at all, she was very squirmy, I was afraid I would hurt her with the tweezers if she moved the wrong way. I started using my fingers to pull the hair instead, and I couldn't believe how easy it came out! She still didn't like it, but she rather enjoyed the sensation of me rubbing her ears every couple of pulls so she settled nicely. She still whimpered when I pulled a particularily big chunk of hair out, but then did the itchy-satisfied-groan...LOL She had sooo much hair in her ears, right way down into the canal, I don't know how she could hear anything! Right now she's all excited to be done and running around shaking and pouncing, and seems to notice every sound....LOL My poor girl, I'm so proud of her, it must have hurt, but not once did she growl or snap at me or my daughter, though she did use her head to try to push me back...lol... but all in all she did great! Lots of treats and hugs seemed to make her forget the whole thing, now she's just ready to play.

8) good now she is ready to party!!! i must be painfull but she knows you love to look and feel lovely.
I give all of you so much credit for being able to pull the ear hair out. When ever Max needs his done or his nails clipped I call the groomer. Max won't sit still for anything that has to do with grooming for me. And the last time I cut his nails I got his quick, and since then cant stand the thought of doing it again (I get the chills just thinking about it). I swear I spend more money on his grooming than mine 8O
