Maybe he's confused and thinks he is opening the doors.... or maybe he's practicing to open them... who knows.... but I Do have a thought about it....
Absolutely charming! |
Hi Sue and the gang,
Merlin does this too! I am forever hearing scratch, scratch at the bathroom door...Merlin has locked himself in. He tries to open it too but not as successful if the door has been pulled tight. Maybe they find solace in there? Marianne |
Sounds like a very smart pup! Maybe he's just looking for privacy? My first oes used to go into her crate and then use her teeth to pull the door shut. I think she did it to get away from my great dane pup. |
i don't agree with the trainer that it is a sign of dominance.
i think he is just a big goof. he doesn't just close the door over. he pushes it until it closes tightly. who know where they pick these behaviors up? my owen (now on the rainbow bridge) wouldn't tolerate underwear! if any one in the house walked around in underwear owen would chase them and give them a little pinch. why or how he came by this behavior is beyond me. sheepdogs are so much fun! sue |
