I was wondering if anyone owns one, or had one in the past? I'm not looking to get a dog now, but just wanted to know hands on experience. Personality, trainability, and energy level. |

There were 2 at the dog park last nite, at different times, and someone I know one has one. I just hear wonderful things about them. Active, playful, friendly, and non-shedding.
The 2 at the park were loads of fun. Both enjoyed the sprinklers and got very dirty. Both played well with both Bosley and Dixie. |
I've always been attracted to this breed as well. I think I like big, friendly, comfy-looking dogs!! |
One of our forum members (wizardmerlin) has an oes/wheaten cross named Faith that she rescued last year. |
They are great dogs. I grew up with two of them. Great personalities. They become very attached to the family. Much more protective of the family than an OES.
I will say, they are definitely not a first time dog owner dog. They are very smart, headstrong dogs that need a very atttentive owner who knows what they are doing with the training. |
Thanks everyone!
I'm not looking to get one right now, maybe in the future. I already have 12 animals, and my other half said I will have to live in the barn if I bring anymore home. Love me, love my animals,......being a vet tech I get so attached. He knew that when he married me. |
