Since we got her as a pup, I know what environment she has been in and she shouldn't have any "issues". Does anyone have any ideas how to get her pass this? |

Izzie has a similar reaction, but only to barks from unknown dogs that she can't see/or see well. If she hears a familiar bark she can't wait to find the dog for a play session. But if there is a dog inside or too far away barking...she usually hurries in the opposite direction or into the house. |
If it helps any, Panda was like this when she was a pup and we went on walks....we were just commenting last night, how amazing it is, that she now longer cowers as she walks past this certain house....now she just ignores the whole thing...as if to say....haha Im out of my back yard...sniff, youre not... |
Chipper is sensitive to loud noise, unfamiliar dogs barking, crowds... but he is getting beter each day... and becoming less sensitive.
Good luck. |
Make sure that you're always calm whenever a dog barks at London. Hopefully she will sense that you're calm/non-chalant about it and she may pick up on your attitude that another dog barking is no big deal.
How are your other 2 dogs when a dog barks at them? If they're totally calm when being barked at, it might help to walk London with one of the others so she can pick up on their non-reaction to dogs barking. In other posts, users have suggested not rewarding fearful behaviour but reward London when she is calm. That might help too. Good luck. It's understandable for her to be a little nervous as the other dogs may seem big and scary. Is she old enough to go to the dog park and play with other (larger?) dogs? That might help too. |
