Just wanted to take a minute in between naps to introduce myself. My name is Elsa. I think I'm around 4 years old. My mommy rescued me on Sunday from some breeders who were giving me away. I was really lucky, cuz if my mom hadn't taken me, I probably would have died. I was really sick, but thanks to my vet, I am working on healing and getting my appetite back. I am adjusting to my new surroundings and am experiencing lots of new things. I spent my whole life in a kennel and am not sure about this whole house business. I do love to get up and lay on the couch where my mom usually sits when she's not looking! So as you might guess, right now I am trying to learn the "OFF" command. I am looking forward to chatting with you all here so you can help me to learn what my mom needs me to do. Hopefully, I will get some hair soon. My groomer had to shear me cuz my coat was really matted. I'm still really pretty though, don't you think? |

Welcome Elsa and mommy!!! Yes, you are gorgeous |
Welcome Elsa and family. You are one lucky girl! Even though your hair is gone, I bet you feel so much better. No more mats and itchies! |
Hi Elsa,
Murphy and Dudley here!!!!!... welcome to the forum.. you sure are some purtie...we love our girls furless.. get to appreciate the legs better .. our mom doesn't like it when we whistle at the girl dogs at the park.. but a boy can't help himself.. What's up with not being able to lounge on the couch!!!!! we have those rules to.. but just as soon as the door is shut and the car is out of the driveway in the morning.. up we go, lazing around all day.. living the life of Riley..... watching Home and Garden all day...drinking pina colads...well not really drinking pina colads...I just thought I would throw that in to impress you...it's usually toilet bowl water.. but some girls find that gross.... You sure are a lucky girl.. you mom seems to love you lots.. as all sheepies should be.. lap it up girl.. play the diva.. milk it for all it's worth. Tell your mom to post some more pictures of you...so I can pin them up in the dog den. Chat soon.. Murphy and Dudley |

Hi Elsa, what a pretty name.
Welcome to the forum. I'm so sorry you have been sick. Very glad that your new mom is taking great care and helping you get better. Don't worry about the hair cut. It is very popular. Glad you joined us and can't wait for more pictures and updates on how you are doing. |
Welcome welcome! You'll love it here and you MUST come to the Midwest Sheepiefest in October in Wauconda, IL. Sheepies come from near and far! |
Welcome to the Forum. You are very pretty!!! |
Welcome to the forum. You sure are a cutie! |
I'm glad you found a furever home Elsa. You are such a pretty girl! Tell your mom to stop by often we love to talk about you guys! |
Just woke up from ANOTHER nap! I forgot to tell you earlier that I have one brown eye and one blue eye. My mom and my people person brother think that is pretty cool. How common is the different colored eyes thing anyway? |
The Pud Monster has one blue and one brown eye. I actually think it is pretty common.
See this link: http://www.akc.org/breeds/old_english_s ... /index.cfm I remember reading somewhere (can't remember where) that one blue and one brown eye was actually a sign of better breeding. I don't know if that is true or not, we all know you can't believe everything you read on the internet. |
Welcome |
Jasper has one blue eye and one brown eye also. |
Hi Elsa!!
I'm so glad you were adopted and got to join us at Sheepie forum. Welcome and tell us all of your stories!!! |
Hi Elsa!
Greetings to you and your mom from Marianne. Welcome Elsa from Blue, Merlin and Panda...we boys love when a new pretty sheepie girl joins the forum. Can't wait to hear of your upcoming adventures and more photos please! Our mom lets us sit on the couch..but that's cause Old Blue has been doing it for years and we just followed suit. She even bought us two chairs to lounge on..a big circular thing which is only for us and a heated message chair which Panda thought was for him and claimed it as his own. We'd love for you to visit and we'll allow you the best seat in the house! Glad to hear your mom saved you from that terrible place. Marianne and the boys |
Hi Elsa,
You are quite the coquetish beauty. Even without hair. Welcome to you and your mom and looking forward to hearing all about your happy new life. May you be spoiled, spoiled and then spoiled. |
Hi. Elsa.
I'm Dixie and I came from a crappy place, too, and learned that folks are not all that bad. I'm sure your mom will have lots of patience with you as she teaches you how to be loved. I am still a tough gal, but get real sweet and sucky with human folks (they seem to like that). BTW, my brother Bosley said to tell you he thinks your hot. The less fur the better he likes 'em |
Ok guys! My mom is starting to get a bit jealous that I have all these male admirers!!!!! But I'm lovin' it! |
Hi Elsa -
Bingley has one blue eye and one brown eye, too! I love that trait! |
Elsa, welcome to the forum! Tell your mommy not to feel bad, my mommy can't even get the avatar right...but she keeps trying anyway.
We all hope that everyday finds you feeling better and better! (and we like the "leggy" look also). |
Hey Elsa,
MO and Harry here, just two of five k9 kids here. Mom used to do rescue so knows exactly how you are feeling. She says those who are basically gentle dogs but lacked human contact like you (and us)......make the best k9 kids. We relish all the attention those uprights can slop all over us. You are a very pretty girl and Mom says you are just the type she likes to adopt. But I have news for her, no more dogs! We are all she needs. Anyway, there is no more room on the bed.......Jack already takes up too much. signed: siMOne and Harry, the avatar kids |
Welcome to the forum. Make sure you give your new humans plenty of sheepie kisses, as they saved you from a terrible life. |
Dearest Elsa, I personally dont know know what you have gone through, but I CAN tell you that any human that talks to you sweetly, gives you treats, kisses and belly rubs any time of day or night is well worth it! Love is the key!
ps....I personally love it when my momma whispers in my ear softly...Im not sure of what she is saying, but all I know is that it makes me feel warm and fuzzy... Welcome to your new home... Panda(emonium) |
