Greetings from Edisto Island
Just checking in to make sure all is well on the forum. My Dad has a VERY SLOW dial up and I've had a hard time getting on the forum . Edisto is just BEEEUTIFUL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It has taken the first few days to actually start to unwind but I think I'm finally getting into vacation mode. I spent most of the first day on the phone putting out fires at work and yesterday suffering a migraine but TODAY IS GOING TO BE A GREAT DAY 
I'm enjoying time with my son, his wife and my Dad. Ty LOVES my Dad and spends all his time in his lap. Doug and I are planning to become beach bums (first sun burns out of the way). Cooked fresh shrimp right off the boat yesterday and plan to do nothing but read trashy novels and lay on the beach for the next few days. Miss hearing everones news!!!!!!!!!!!! |

| Ah, it sounds SO peaceful, and I'm SO jealous! For a variety of reasons, we're not getting a full week away vacation this year, and I didn't think I'd miss it as much as I do!

We got really sunburned yesterday  so today we are headed to Charleston to SHOP  I'm on book THREE of the OUTLANDER Books and TRYING not to eat too much (boiled peanuts and peach pie mmmmmmm). |

I cAnnot believe how fast the time is going. My Dad's computer is so slow and the dialup so frustrating that I can only check a few posts  and won't be able to post any pics til I get home. We had a lovely day in Charleston yesterday (HOT). Shopped at the Market Place for those who have been there (mostly tacky stufff but fun). My xson and his wife had to go to Margaritaville which was a hot walk but at least air conditioned when we got there.
The dogs stayed with my Dad, Ty and my son's cocker spanial. He was funny he complained but I think he enjoyed puppy sitting. Ty was good, spent most of the afternoon sitting on my Dad's lap. My Father has a woman who lives in his "back room", a kinda sympiotic relationship:she gets a place to stay he get someone to keep an eye on him. Unfortunately Ty has decided he doesn't like her and every time she is around he growls and barks and carries on. It worries me because Ty has NEVER taken to somone like that and I have always believed that dogs are a good judge of character..... Feeling the CALL OF THE OCEAN TODAY
Doug is puttering around "fixing things" at my Dad's haouse in the mornings, there is A LOT to be done!!! I'm having a great time with my son and his wife. We are having pitch tournaments every night and I've even had a glass of wine or two n The phone calls from work have slowed down to one or two a day.
