Hey has everyone checked out her site?
I'd think you'd like her beadwork Sheepies! |
Wow! Her stuff is wonderful! There's a flamingo piece that is just beautiful.
I really like being able to see her progress on The Divas. I want to learn how to do that. |
Wow! Your work is beautiful! What has inspired you to create beaded sheepdogs? Do you have an OES? BEAUTIFUL! |
I'm so happy that you like my work! I don't own a sheepdog (or any pets at all right) now because my condo building won't all for them. But, that doesn't stop me from loving dogs and animals.
My first beaded dog was Rudy. You can view him in my portfolio here: http://www.ebsqart.com/Artists/cmd_6077_profile_portfolio__1_3_G.htm Rudy is owned by a friend of mine and their relationship inspired me to create that piece. After finishing that piece, I started thinking about the possibilities of other beaded dogs. When I saw these four sheepdogs, I thought of it as a challenge. Here's the story of how 'The Divas' came about: http://thelonebeader.blogspot.com/2006/07/divas.html I hope this answered some of your questions. Please feel free to stop by my blog anytime. |
Love your beadwork!!!!!!! The sheepdog work is beautiful, so unique.
Thanks for sharing your website. We'll check in from time to time to see what neat project you are working on! |
Wow...You have done some wonderful work.
Very cool stuff. |
Did anyone notice that one of our member's dogs, Kramer (belonging to Kramer's Mom), is sheepdog of the day today?
I think everyone ought to PM her (Donna is her name) a really quick note of congratulations! (She hasn't posted here yet, maybe she will now! ) You can use the PM button on her profile! http://forum.oes.org/profile.php?mode=viewprofile&u=771 Just for Background, Kramer's Mom for the last two years has organized NEOESR's annual picnic. Until he got a little too old, Kramer used to doante blood frequently! Really! |
Donna did mention that Kramer was a retired blood donor. What a great dog. And, what a small world we live in.... |
Let me start by saying....the beadwork is astonishing! I used to do beads years ago for fun, and it was very tedious. That piece you are working on is gorgeous.
Also....I do know Kramer personally. He is one of my best buddies from up north!! I'm glad to see Kramer made it as "Sheepdog of the day!" Michelina~ |
Wow, I really love the beading. Just amazing. Are you selling the work? |
Beautiful work! I can't even imagine the time it takes to do it. |
Thanks for the replies!! This particular piece may end up to be a commission for the woman who owned the 4 dogs, but normally I don't set out to sell my work. I create things that I love, and try to get them published or entered in contests just for fun...afterwards, I may decide to sell. Each of my pieces takes at least 100 hours to create, so they become a part of me. I do accept commissions when time allows, though...If you look in my portfolio, 'Laguna de Flamenco' was a commissioned piece. http://www.ebsqart.com/Artists/cmd_6077_profile_portfolio__2_2_G.htm
It has not been published, as some of my others have been/ will be. I hope that answers your questions...Thanks for taking a peek! |
