Oh my gosh! I completely forgot a new season has started! I've only watched the first episode. I looove that show! I was actually living in Manhattan during fashion week when the 1st season was on! |
They just had the 4th episode last night. I actually like this season more than the last one, and maybe even more than the first! I wish I could make clothes!
And, of course, there is a ton of drama...they just kicked someone off last night for not following the rules. |
I watch it. OH...I watch to much reality tv! I like this group MUCH better than last year. In fact, I stopped watching last year, cuz I couldn't stand Santino!!!! I can't understand why he kept winning. Doncha wish Tim was your gay uncle? Do you think he'd be fun?! |
Okay, I NEED to start watching this season.... once I figure out what channel it's on over here. I saw the first episode so I know I get the channel... just can't remember which one it was.
What rule did the person break that got them kicked off?? |
You bet! I love it. I wish we could've seen the party that really happened after keith got kicked off last night. They hated him so it was just the break the other people needed to get him off the show. Pattern book or not though, I really liked the stuff he was doing. For never having done women's wear, he still had great vision. He really loved himself though... |
I try to watch it on Wed nights, but it is on at 10 pm...and I have to fight for the control....project runway vs the simpsons...i lost last night...was this the one where someone got kicked off????? I think the rerun is tonight.... |
In Chicago its on the Bravo station. They run all the episodes many, many times. So, its really hard to miss them, even if you start late. Steph, your puppy is SO cute |

Steph, your puppy is SO cute Thanks Deborah! He's 8 weeks old on Saturday (going to the vet with the breeder today!) and we get to bring him home on Sunday! I'm so excited he's all I can think about. So Keith got kicked out for using a pattern book?!? That's crazy! I don't have Bravo (expensive to get all the fancy channels). I figured it out: they showed the first 3 episodes of Project Runway on NBC. Now they take it away! That's cruel. The first few are free... but then it'll cost you.... |
I think they show the reruns on NBC sometime on the weekend, at least they have so far, so I bet they'll keep doing it, since they are owned by the same company.
They kicked Keith off last night for 3 things: 1. He used the pattern books. They were told when they arrived on the show (and probably beforehand, too) that they were not allowed to have any pattern books or anything like that and if they did, they have to give them up. Keith didn't. Then, about a week into the show, they heard that 'someone' might have some pattern books still so please give them up. Keith didn't. 2. He left the show for a while. When he thought something was about to happen, Keith jumped out of the van and ran away for an entire day. And 3. During the time he was away, he used the internet, which apparently was also against the rules. So it was kinda like one thing could be ignored but not all these together. |
Wow, that sounds like it was quite an entertaining episode! Hopefully I can see it in reruns this weekend. If all else fails, I can download it.
I checked out the episode info on the official website and saw a bunch of pictures of the episode with the dogs. They looked really cute, but having some larger dogs would've been even cuter. |
Actually, the episode wasn't as entertaining as it sounds (although it was entertaining!). But all the getting kicked off drama happened early in the show... |
Confession: I am strangely attracted to, yet repulsed by Vincent. |
LOVE project Runway. Love it, love it, love it. I have no idea why, because I will never fit into one thing that they're designing. I just love the cat fights, I guess!
But I don't like the group projects, I'd rather see them design individually. They've done too many group things already this season. debcram wrote: Confession:

Hmmmm.....maybe that's the repulsion facet ! I don't like the group projects either. But at least some of the designs this year look wearable. There was NOTHING that I would have worn from last season's group. |
Nothing??
There were outfits that I really liked. Maybe I'm the weird one? |
Well, I didn't watch the whole season. I couldn't stand Santino. |

There were outfits that I really liked. Maybe I'm the weird one? That makes two of us then-- although it's no surprise that you and I would agree! There were some GORGEOUS things that I would've loved to have worn. The one that stands out in my mind was, I think, the first one that Santino did. Ah yes, here it is: http://www.bravotv.com/Project_Runway_2 ... tino.shtml There were a lot of things that were really wearable, especially Chloe's. They were so simple, but contemporary. I liked this dress a lot, too. http://www.bravotv.com/Project_Runway_2 ... hloe.shtml |
Jill--GOOD choices. I love both those outfits.
And Deb--I work with someone IDENTICAL to Vincent. It honestly makes it REALLY hard for me to watch him because they are so similar. Same age-ish...same look, same accent, both from NY, same everything. It is almost so that I want to ask the guy I work with if he has a brother named Vincent, but if he ever were to watch the show, he might be offended that I would think they were the same (or maybe not...) |
I LOVED the first Santino dress, totally my taste. I got my boyfriend hooked on this and now a bunch of us get together to watch it every week! |
Ok Heather....so I'm old, and have old taste!!! Can't help it |
So, how hideous was the "Cher" outfit last night. I could kind of see where he wanted to go with it, but it was definitely time for Bradley to go home.
And I hate to admit it, but I liked Angela's dress. But she really HAS to stop using those florets. And I'm so glad Michael finally got some air time! |
I missed it! Bradley went home? I hope so. He was such an airhead... Earth to Bradley...Earth to Bradley! |
Bradleys outfit was something even I could make... I really like Laura(Laurie?) --the red head! |

Yeah, but you can slice bread with her collarbones! Give that woman a sandwich! |
but she has incredible lines to her clothes...she is really good with texture and color...I would have worn everything she has made so far.....
I should see if bradley would sell his shiney top ....i could have panda wear it for holloween |
OK...I just saw "it". Pretty good one. Bradley's was really horrid. Michael was brilliant. Laura is always brilliant in design. I have to admit, I really loved...oh...what's her name? The chick with the florets. I didn't like Kayne's. I thought the tush looked bad, but all the people in the know loved it. I'm a pauper, I guess! Bye Bradley....get a clue! |

Give that woman a sandwich! I don't think its so much that she's too thin, she just absolutely no breasts to pull the skin away from the collarbones. I just got to watch it. Bradley's outfit was awful. The fit on those pants really was atrocious. I like how they panned right to the crotch area... |
debcram wrote: I didn't like Kayne's. I thought the tush looked bad, but all the people in the know loved it. I'm a pauper, I guess! I thought the tush looked bad too! At least when she was walking down the runway. It looked better when she was standing still in front of the judges, but I was sure they were going to say something about the fit. |
I totally love this show. I've been watching since the first season.
I really like seeing all the things they come up with. I know they have to show all the drama and I don't mind seeing what is going on but, does anyone else think they don't show enough of the designs? You see bits and pieces while they are under construction and then they are off the runway so fast it is hard to get a good look at them. |
