Flavor Switching Within Brands

Am I being crazy for being concerned about switching flavors within a certain brand family of food? Once in awhile, if the store is out of the normal flavor, say chicken, I'll get lamb. I haven't noticed any problems but started wondering if it might be harder on their digestive systems.

I've heard some people say that if you stick with the same brand it won't cause digestive upset, but I'm pretty sure that's not true, since it is the different ingredients (mainly chicken, beef, lamb etc) that they would have to slowly adjust to.

I think a lot of it depends on the dog too. Out of my 3 Dancer has a very sensitive tummy, and even if she eats say 3 treats that day instead of only one or two, she will have loose stools.
Sky is not too bad, but a food switch done too quickly would upset her system.
Panda seems to have an iron gut, so far.

That's what I thought, too. Both my boys can eat anything (and will, given the chance) but Lucy, without added fiber, has sad looking stools no matter what so it was hard for me to differentiate if it was the food or not.
My dogs are on Authority. Pepsi has a very sensitive tummy, but I can switch from Chicken and Rice to Lamb & Rice with no problems.
I usually switch each month. They like both the flavors very much.
So I thought I could make life a little less boring. :)
They get Nutro and I switch the flavors everytime I buy a new bag. I know I wouldn't want to eat the same thing all of the time. Also, I never wanted them to have sensitivities so they have always had a wide variety of nutritious food as well. Luckily that has worked with the dogs I've been lucky to be owned by.

I'm going to try a new brand shortly. It's supposed to have better ingredients.
I switch flavors all the time between the same brand just to give variety. Somtimes fish other times chicken, duck, lamb etc. etc.

No problems so far but then my girls are oinkers when it comes to food. Only problem I have is Kelsey does not have anything that is beef based or has any wheat products in it. So the brand I get has non of that so all firm and good when switching flavors.
