It's been a miserable lousey stressful wretched week on all accounts. I could go into my litany of complaints but I won't bore you with the details suffice to say I'm crankey grouchey mean and no fun to be around It's likely a good thing I haven't had time to do anything more than a quick check of the board all week. Just wanted to pop in and share my misery and say I hope to be back around in a better frame of mind over the weekend!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! |

I tried that last weekend Ed, all I got out it was a hangover!!! So here is the Reader's Digest Condensed version: Family ++ Doug is working WAY too many hours. I never see him ++ His kids have been around WAY TOO MUCH ++ His Mother is making me crazy ++ Doug leaves for a week in FLorida tomorrow (work) ++ My sun room construction has come to a screeching halt because of the above so my yard looks like a construction zone My JOB ++ I have WAY TOO many patients, usually have a case load of about 40 right now I have 60. ++ I was SUPPOSED to be on vacation for two weeks next month. They can't find anyone to cover me so I have to come back early. ETC ETC ++ Someone "hacked into" my bank account and cleaned me out. They got a considerable amount of money which the bank assures me is insured and I will get back, sometime..... in the meantime I've had to cancel all my accounts and start over, a real pain. BLAH BLAH BLAH..shall I continue? NAH, I'm depressing my self. These are just the highlights. Thanks everybody |
Wow Ginny!
Sorry for all the bad stuff coming your way! I especially hope your money and Doug come home to you soon, and his Mother, kids and your patients.... well, never mind. Also, I had no idea the havoc I wreaked on your life when I cleaned you out. I'd better stop doing that! |

Well, at least I know it went to a good cause!!!! The most aggravating part of that whole deal is that I have several auctions pending on ebay, which if I win, are going to be a pain to pay for since the debit card on my Paypal account is the one that has been compromised Luckily my savings acct was frozen when the bank realized something was amiss. I give my bank a HUGE amount of credit for catching the situation within 24 hours and preventing a total loss. The minor issues this week are: ++Tasker has another ear infection ++The AC in my car died and will cost over $500 to fix but my exhaust system needs to be fixed before my inspection which expires in 9 days. ++My Daughter....well I won't go into THAT whole story but she's a great cause of concern ++It's raining again and we are worried about our septic sand filter which is totally saturated with water after the last month of rain ++I woke up with a migraine Just call me LITTLE MERRY SUNSHINE THIS WEEK |
Wow... it never rains, it pours seems to apply for you these days.....
In more ways than one.... I hope things settle down and straighten out for you soon Ginny. Just remember to take care of YOU. Regarding Tasker's ear infection, is it a yeast infection in his ears from allergies? I found a fantastic homemade ear yeast infection remedy, and have been using it for Dancer's ears. It works well, and quickly, and provides itch and pain relief in the interim. The recipe is for a huge batch, I divide the amounts by 4. 16 oz witch hazel 4 tablespoons boric acid powder 16 drops gentian violet solution (1% solution) Shake well before each use, use a dropper to fill the ear canal. Put a cotton ball in the ear, but don't push it right in, just at the edge to soak up the solution while you massage the base of the ear. The first time you use it you may want to reload the ear with the solution a couple of times to really flush it out, and keep cleaning out with cotton balls. Then use it twice a day for two weeks, then once a day for two weeks, then once monthly for maintenance. It does stain so you might want to do it outside. |
Wow Ginny, that IS a bad week..
Here are my hopes for you... 1.Doug comes home soon. 2.it stops raining 3.sunroom gets finished 4.his family takes a step back (okay 2 steps ) 5.you get all of your money back and soon 6.your daughter is okay... 7.tasker gets rid of that nasty ear infection 8.your a/c gets fixed (mine has a temporary bandaide on it, so i can really symathize with you) 9.some of your patients get better, so you can downsize 10. your nasty headache goes away Do you know how they got your card number? I swear a lot of the time it happens at resturaunts...I never ever let my card out of my sight since it happened to me last october. Next week will be better....xo |
That's a lot to go through. Sounds like you are really handling things well considering that is A LOT of stressful things. Just one of those things would send a lot of people over the edge so give yourself credit for being the strong woman you are.
I hope things improve for you. I will be thinking about you and sending good wishes your way. Hannah's been having excessive earwax in her left ear. It doesn't seem to have any affect on her but I've literally been cleaning it out every day. I'm thinking of taking her to the vet, I've never seen sooooo much ear wax. Thank goodness must not be an infection since she doesn't act with any care towards that ear and also lets me do anything to clean it. She's just precious the trust she has. I know things will get better for you. Have a good weekend. |
Wow, that is a tremendous amount to deal with all at once. That really stinks. I'm so sorry you are having to deal with all that. That's pretty overwhelming. Hang in there . . . I hope everything rights itself very soon. |

Thanks Stacey, the last couple of time we had his ear infections cultured they were not yeast but bacterial. The good news is that the drop once started clear it up very quickly. It's all really minor in the grand scheme of things...........money is only money and well step children and inlaws, are well, only step children nd inlaws. I'm mostly bummed about Doug being gone (he left this morning ) and not getting my two weeks vacation. I always say I have the best job in the world, and I do. But it is very stressful and when I need a vacation I NEED A VACATION. The person who normally covers my time off got another job and will no longer be available. What is the point of working somewhere long ewnough to get 6 weeks vacation if you can't ever take it!!!! BUT, I'm lucky to have a job I love so I shouldn't complain! |
Hi Ginny,
I can't add much than what most of the members have already said - just know we're here for you. Hugs to you! Marianne and the boys |
((((((HUGS))))))
Hope things look better today. |
