Now I have had some bowel movements TMI, and the pain has lessened but not gone, it is been 3 days. It has moved to one sided pain, my left side, and my cycle is not due until Sat/Sun...to early for PMS cramping. I do not think I am pregnant, as we did not do anything until a week after ovulation. Appendix would be increasing pain, and on the right side.... Hubby is not worried. Esp since the pain is less now, but still here. Should I assume it is just gas, and keep hoping it goes away completely. Or assume it is connected with PMS...just early. Stress of the moment...but kinda a happy stress. Pulled muscle...can't think of how or when that happened tho. Had recent blood, and ultrasounds...no cysts, or anything developing that is a concern...have clean bill of health. |

Have you eaten anything different lately or done anything more strenuous or anything? It could just be that you have been stressed and thinking so much about your dr. appt and now that it has finally happened and was good things will resolve themself.
It's amazing what seemingly unrelated things like stress can do to a person physically. Of course, you could always call your dr and just ask if what you're feeling could be something... |
I wouldn't think you could have gas pains for 3 days straight. Since it could be such a number of things, I would consult your doc just to make sure you're okay. |
I may be confused but didn't you just have your tubes untied? If so, you may be trying to ovulate. If so the pain may be from that.
If I confused things, just ignore me. |

If I confused things, just ignore me. She hasn't had her tubes untied yet, but even when they are tied ( no matter if they are tied, clamped, cut and burned etc) ovulation till occurs. Nothing is different except the sperm can't get through to the egg. |

Nothing is different except the sperm can't get through to the egg. Right ovulation still occurs and for me that should have been July 2nd, 3rd or 4th. For me I have 1 side that came open (slightly), and 1 side still closed. The reversal is coming. No I don't think it is gas anymore either, esp since it has calmed down and become local to one side. When I take a deep breathe in it will twinge...if I could pin point the spot I would say, place your hand palm touching hip bone..now where your fingers are press down...that's where the pain is. When the pain was there Monday night and Tuesday I assumed food, I had some ripened bananas, we ate alot of veggies and I made a t-bone steak (Sat night)...haven't had red meat like that in ages...but that food should be completely passed. No food that new or gone bad. But still having it tonight...altho not as intense, is a little worrisome. I hate going to the dr's, but might just to be safe. I don't think it's my kidney either because it doesn't hurt to go to the bathroom. I haven't done anything strenous either, actually been pretty lazy. Went swimming with kids on Sun (I stood while they swam). I should have mentioned it to the dr when I saw him on Tuesday, but at the time I just thought it was gas. I guess we'll see how it is tommorrow. |
I'd go to the doc too...hope it's nothing! |
I would go see a doctor. I'd be worried about ectopic pregnancy. Hope it is nothing and that you feel better soon. |
Definitely go see the Dr. Under the circumstances your health is at the top of the prioirty list. Hope it is nothing!!!! |
I'm not saying this is appendix....this is just general info: appendix pain isn't always on the lower right side. If the sucker is relfexed and touching the abdominal wall, it can hurt just about anywhere; upper middle abdomen, lower back and surprisingly upper left chest about the collar bone .
I'm hoping you just have gas, maybe a touch of diverticulitis (spelling??). Any bladder or kidney indication? Drinking your water and keeping everything dilute and flushed out? susan |
If the doctor doesn't find anything, a heating pad might feel good and help relax you.
As for the gas, YES, you can have it for 3 days straight! |
Thanks everyone,
The pain has decreased to twinges...if I stay still the pain almost dissappears, when I stretch, breathe deeply inhaleing then I have a bit more pain, and I have more discomfort in the shoulder now. Maybe hubby is right, I just pulled a muscle and I am getting deferred pain in other places. I will wait for Sat/Sun for my TOM, and if it doesn't show up on time then I will take a test. I have wasted too much money on preg test, so that can wait a couple more days. I will see if my family dr can fit me in today. I am not bloated, or have cramping anymore...which rules out gas...but that is probably what I had that started this whole thing...maybe I brusied an inside muscle???I drink alot of water, and have no difficulty there, so I don;t think it is a kidney thing...dr could order a test I suppose. Since the pain is near the kidney's....between my ovaries and the kidneys...silly body, keeps a person guessing. Thanks for all the ideas, and help. |
I experienced similiar last summer- to my surprise- it was a gallbladder attack- I had had the pain on and off for some time... it would come and go. Each time I was ready to make a "dr appt", the pain would go, or lessen... End result- gallbladder came out last August...
I never realized gallbladder attacks had very similiar symptoms as "gas". Hope you are feeling better |
I was wondering about the gallbladder...where is that located? Both my grandpa and my aunt had to have gallstones removed...not sure if they took the gallbladder out tho???
I think I will go look that up and find out more. |
I googled it, it said I would have pain in the right side, upper area of the stomach. So I don't think that's what it is, but if I see him I will bring it up. |
Gall bladder, as said, upper right, but when I was having trouble it felt like indigestion, right in the middle. Also the pain often radiates around to the right into the side and back. You may also get barfy.
So sounds like your pain is in wrong quadrant....but you know, there are fewer nerve endings in the abdomen than many other places, so pain in one section isn't always due to something right there. That's why I mentioned the appendix. The problem can be one place and hurt someplace else. We assume you don't have a fever. susan |
Nope no fever, or queasyiness, I have not had any heartburn feelings, the pain stayed all in the lower stomach/pelvic area...just like PMS cramps., and ovulation cramps...just really really intense for 2 days, and now the pain is just to the left side near the ovary/kidney, causing some slight back pain in the hip, and shoulder pain.
Much like how they describe ectopic pregnancies...except I do not believe I got pregnant, the time line is just too far apart for that. Taking in a deep breath, and some movement liking getting up, will pull and twinge on the area, but it doesn't prevent me in daily activites anymore. Not like the first two days, it would double me over for a few secs, and then be okay. Because it is getting better, I'm gonna wait a couple days. If I still have pain on Mon, I will go see the dr. I can't get in today anyways. And this is not an emergency. |
Did u ever get rid of pain or find out what it was ? |
