Is that normal, or am I not doing something correctly when grooming him out? Maybe I'm just doing the over analyzing thing again, but he ends up looking so messy! What a boy!!!! |

The butt at that age definitely suffers a lot of bedhead. As the coat changes, I found it was the first place to start matting underneath too. |
LMAO We have the same problem over here too, Karen. Always a butt bedhead or is it "bedbutt" ? |
Same thing here too. We brush that part twice as often as the rest of the dog. Watch for mats forming on the hip/thigh area. Especially soon with Pippin starting a coat change. They seem to appear over night |
i guess that's better than butt-head. |
Quote: i guess that's better than butt-head Well, he's that too sometimes! Like when he jumped on my back this morning as I was getting his crate read for the day. That hurt! what a dork At least now I know it is normal. I'm glad I'm not alone in constantly brushing that area. So far we've been matt free, except for the time he got something sticky on his tummy... who knows what that was.[/quote] |
Yeah, Barney magically gets mattes there first...I could spend an hour the night before and then by the next night it'll be back to being tangled. |
HOW MUCH DO YOU GROOM YOU OES? ONCE A WEEK A FEW TIMES A WEEK. I AM IN THE HAIR CHANGING STAGE SO I AM HAVING TROUBLE KEEPING UP. ALSO WILL THEY EVER GET USED TO BEING BRUSHED AND QUIT FIGHTING YOU THE WHOLE TIME? |

I just read this and it cracked me up! I can totally picture it. The thanks they give for making their beds comfy! I've gotten bumped from behind by TWO heads thinking I'm hiding treats in there |
