Potty Training Relaps

My OES is 1 and a half years and my Weimeraner is just over a year. Both are completely house trained with a dog door always available. The last four days one of them has been pooping in the house and today I found poop and pee in the house and some more in the garage. It has only happened when I have locked them out of the bedroom while I am showering. This is our normal routine nothing has changed. What's the deal!? Here are my theories/suspicions.
1) One of them was recently in heat. Could this have something to do with it?
2)It's been raining more than ususal and the ground is wet. But it's not like they are going in the house all the time, just when they are locked out of the bedroom.
3) One of them was recently around a dog who went in the house. Could it be the bad influence?
4) We have been a little more busy lately and not home as much. Are they mad and punishing me for getting ready for work? :(
How do I deal with this? I would hate to have to put them in their crates every second I can't watch them. They've been fine for at least 6 months by themselves for short periods of time. I need suggestions!

Always check for a medical problem, first. It would be best to keep them crated, one at a time, or spearated to find out which one has the problem. Can you tell by the feces?

Could be a distraction of sorts, but toher than that this should not impact potty training.

My bests are on this one. YThe culprit may not like the wet grass. When they are locked out of the bedroom you are not around so it is safe.

If the dog peed/pooed in your house this can affect them. If it wasn't your house, then no.

No. Dogs do not reason like that. If theri schedue is of it may put their potty habits off, but if they have a door they could still use it.

I would start all over, crate and treat when you see them go potty outside.
I have never lived with a female dog that wasn't altered so I can't share anything about the "wonders of nature".

But two words DO come to mind- Separation Anxiety

With my rescue sheepie Panda, as soon as a door was closed between us she would poop/pee or get destructive. Struvite crystals were also a reason she peed in the house. You might try giving them each a stuffed Kong or something safe to keep them occupied... they may be bored too if they've been left longer than usual.

Oops... forgot to add... even though Panda was with 5 other dogs, she still suffered from SA. She needed her human to feel secure and happy.
