Age and OES
This is the interesting part, asked around on a few lists about ages and OES to try and find out if anyone knew of an OES that has reached this age or older, well an OES in England lived to the age of 23

| That is VERY interesting!!! Tasker is approaching 11 and I remember years ago someone telling me that the average life span of an OES was 12 years. That has been weighing in my mind. I would love to think that I could have him with me til he is 23!!! |

WOW!!! That's great. My Shadow was just shy of turning 15 when I lost her. Do you know the quality of life the dog had at that age? Such as arthritis, hearing, sight, etc..... Just curious.

| So am I, I personally would love to know the Name of the dog that reached that age & how long ago it was .
Don't know about how this dog was health wise, but it truly is remarkable. The girl at 17 1/2 is also amazing, no health issues, seeing good and hearing is good just a bit of stiffness in the back end but at that age she is allowed too. |
| That's awesome she is doing so well at that age! It would be nice if they could all live 20+ years (or longer). |
