Wonder what the movie is about....this is not the "kingdom" area or so I think...lol....... Hollywood here I come.....lalalalalalalala |
|
Sounds like fun.... did you get any more details? Who's in it? |
Is this the one?
http://www.terrybrooks.net/landover.html Maybe the Wheaton needs a pal? Or a date? Or a dog walker? |
I dont know....the letter says.....quote "Universal Pictures is currently in production on an upcoming feature film entitled "KINGDOM''. we will be filming in your meighborhood..............................the scenes will be interior dialogue and a possible exterior shot of the front of the house." It does not say who is in it or any other details.......we must go out and check it out!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! |
Darcy,
Walk Panda a lot!!! We just might see you in the background. Maybe Panda will become famous... |
That does sound like fun. Years ago they filmed part of the movie "Dillinger" in Mooresville, IN. They paid some of the locals to be "extra's". I think they even shot part of "Hoosiers" here in Indiana and did the same thing, soooooooooooooo be on the look out for notices wanting "extra's". You'll not only have your 15 minutes of fame, but get paid for it too! |
That'd be cool. Hope the discover you and/or Panda. |
darcy, put on that dress you wore to the wedding, a pair of extra high stilletos, fluff panda up... and strut back and forth by the set until someone puts you in that movie! |
Deliver a copy of the Christmas Card shoot with Panda... |
Wouldn't that be cool? If it is the Brooks' book, I've read it and I liked it - and theres a main role for a DOG . . . |
Go for it, Darcy and Panda. That would be fun.
Parts of Grumpy Old Men was filmed at a lake near Stillwater, MN (my hometown). Neighbors of ours own the farmland along the lake that they wanted to film on. They got paid for using their land, and were extras in the movie. So I know it CAN happen! |

Great idea! Go flirt with some cameramen! |

Yeah but Abernathy would be more of a wheaton type dog... although I can't remember if his ears were up or down or what, so maybe a wheaton cross. There is another movie to come out in 2007 with a similar title... maybe it's this one? http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0431197/ |
hmmmm, Stac I bet thats it because when i read who was in it one of the cast members is byron brown (at a baseball game)...his dad byron sr, is good friends with my boss cisco..and they are both ex-major leaguers....i know byron jr is trying to get into acting....soooooo, maybe i can use the ''i knowcisco and byron elbow to rub''..... |
That would be so cool if you and Panda were in a movie!!
I would go out and walk around so you can be discovered! |
Hi Darcy,
You just never know!!!! One day I was walking throught the park with 30 ESL students and we came apon a film crew that were redirecting people so they wouldn't interfere with the filming. Someone approached us and said would we mind walking in the background! We were in the film!! The name you ask? Americas Most Wanted. So there you have it...stranger things have happened...who wouldda thought I'd be in that show? I say strut your stuff out there with Panda girl and they may ask you to be in the movie. Panda boy thinks she's already got star quality. Good Luck Darcy! Marianne and the boys |
It sounds like it's this movie-
http://www.azcommerce.com/webapps/press ... sp?sID=459 It mentions on the June 16th press release that they were lookin' for extras Ummmm... only problem is the extras needed are pretty specific... "...Extras Casting Director Maryellen Aviano is currently casting men with Middle Eastern features both young and old. She is looking for dark complexioned men including those of Middle Eastern, Hispanic and Asian descent..." I hate to say this but how could you take a movie seriously if it has a sheepie in it AND it's about an "elite team of counter terrorism investigators"? Let us know if you can find a way to appear in the movie!! |
They always end up needing extras for these things. Definitely make yourself visible and available. Even if it's just crowd shots or filler passes it's cool to be on a set and sometimes you can even find yourself in the background. (If you watch the stadium shots in Major League 2 you can almost see my family and I. )
It's long and repetetive work but celluloid last forever! Go Darcy Go!!!!! |
My theory is this....Jennifer Garner is in it....Soooooooooo, Ben might be around.....how cool would it be for Ben Affleck to tell me I had a beautiful dog...lol.......and ask him what color his ex Jen Lopez used on her hair |

Feel like company Darcy? |
come on over.....you still have time its wed and thurs........but its early morning....I hate taking Panda on early am walk....now, Im also going to have to shower AND do my hair...before 7 am....oh for the love of fame... |
I think you should go for it Darcy. Maybe you can make Brian look middle eastern.
I have experience as an extra in a movie and it was actually quite boring. I tried it as I thought it would be an exciting thing to do. My dad drug us out to Hollywood when we were kids and I've always been enchanted with film making. We were extras in the M Night Shamalyn film "Unbreakable". We shot the stadium scene where Bruce Willis brushes up against M Night and can forsee his future. My husband actually got to walk right past Bruce & Night while they were filming, but our footage made the cutting room floor. I got to say hello to Bruce Willis & stand next to Night so it was a fun experience. The pay stinks but they feed you a nice catered meal! |
There IS an application for "women and children" for this movie...
Application- http://movieworknow.com/info/FemaleCast ... cation.pdf No where on the application does it ask how hairy your kids are. http://movieworknow.com/thekingdom.html |
