Plus, I'd imagine that they would like the taste. I know many juices now are too sugary and could contain preservatives and other potentially unhealthy stuff. Just wondering if there's any schools of thought out there. |

You know, that's a really interesting question
Most mammals, other than humans and guinea pigs and maybe a couple of others, make their own vitamin c internally. So, in most cases vitamin c is not needed, however, studies are definitely showing that supplementing dogs or cats with vitamin c can help boost the immune system, can assist in natural pain management and a multitude of other things. I personally go with the "if it isn't broken, don't fix it" train of thought, however, it is worth looking into if it's something you're interested in. |
Oh my goshhhh... Yuki already drinks enough for seven. I can't imagine what she'd be like if water tasted good too. |
I give cranberry tablets to the girls now thanks to Kaye and Jaci (6 girls) posts, think it is great for them.
I also occassionally give them goats milk for a treat, they love it, and no lactose init to upset the system. Brie was bought up on goats milk after finishing at mums milk bar. The puppy formula puppy milk gave her upset tummy so goats milk was suggested and she still loves it on occassions. Would the cranberry in juice form stain the face/beard? Just wondering as am fussy with clean faces |

you can also buy vitamin C powder. I have it and put it in their food occasionally. Really no taste to it and they don't seem to notice. You can get it at Feed Stores.... |
