Not me... sorry! |
Stac...describe it to me..it sounds familiar....I read so many, that I actually dont remember...half the time I get thru half of a book and THEN realize that I already read it........ |
Well, I only got through the first chapter. ZZZZZZZZZZ! Totally putting me to sleep! It's written by Thomas Friedman and is a history of the 20th century globalization and the "flattening" of the globe. I don't think I'll make it too far in this book! |
Hmm...sounds like something I may need to read since I'm having to write a paper on demographics and world commerce. lol |

From what I can tell so far, this book would be a great source for your paper. It's been very high on the ratings for a very long time now. The chapters are broken into various sections so you can skim it too. I can't even imagine reading it from start to finish |
I gave this book to my brother for his birthday a while ago. He really liked it. |
Oops, sorry, the book is about the 21st Century. I couldn't edit my first post.
So the book is actually getting more interesting for me during the last 50 page or so. The topics are offshoring, supply chain managment, i.e. Walmart, UPS... The first part of the book was about fiber optics, telecommunications and outsourcing in India. None of these topics are of interest to me so my view of the book didn't start out optimistically for my attention span. It might be for others. I do think there is something in this book for everyone. Especially if you are like me and want to know "Why?" I'm still like a little kid in that regard. It's just the topics and issues have become larger. |

I can't even imagine reading it from start to finish aww, the paper was due last Monday, so I didn't get to the store in time. That class (Geography of World Commerce) is over now, thank goodness. Now I'm in History of North America after 1945, much easier so far since I love history. |
