Izzie has chronic bladder infections (we are currently looking into further causes)...and what tips me off to them is when she pees...walks a few steps...pees...walks a few steps...pees...etc. Or needs to pee more urgently than usual.
Fozzie sounds like he just drinks a lot of water. He reminds me of me. I am constantly drinking water...and therefore make a lot of visits to the bathroom. |
Aw, poor Izzie! Foz makes huge pees and then does it again 15-20 minutes later. He doesn't do the walking thing or a ton of licking himself. I really think it is the water. He likes to stay busy and have something to do! Also I think he might just like to swim in Annie's water dish, make Mommy's leg cold and watch her wipe up the floor a zillion times |
That is a ton of water!!! Pip goes for drinks maybe once every hour more with meal time obviously... Potties once every 2 hours roughly. That seems like a lot of drinking... |
Just called the vet. I'm going to collect a urine sample from Foz at lunch and then drop it off at the vet for analysis. It helps that the vet is right across from my office building. If somethng's going on, they'll fit him into tomorrow's schedule to be seen by the vet. I'll keep you posted! Thanks guys! |
I hope it's nothing more than the fact that he drinks a lot. |
Hope it's nothing, they should also check his sodium levels, in case he is just drinking TOO much. Some dogs don't know when to stop, and it IS possible to drink too much water.
My Panda girl would never stop drinking if I let her. She drinks til she barfs, so I have to limit her water intake and water availability. |
Foz is fine. All his levels were okay and the vet recommended we don't let Foz out every single time he swats the door (especially if he just went out 10 minutes before). We're trying to distract him with toys |
