I'm thinking just a small trim right by the mouth and letting the hair from farther up the muzzle cover it over? Any tips would be appreciated, thanks! |

My only tip...do it while he's asleep |
I have before. You're right, the top hair falls down to cover most of what you cut off so it doesn't look weird. It is a good idea to do it early because it will get really nasty, especially with all the water drinking in the summer. You'll find as the hair gets even longer, you'd be surprised how much you can cut off and not even notice since it all kinds of blends together and camouflages! |
Yup I trim Pandas mouth at least once a month...but on the bottom, I only trim out the yellow gunky hair and on the top, I hold her mouth closed and do an even cut on both sides.... |
I always keep the bottom portion of the lips trimmed.
Just the first layer of hair closest to the lips to expose the bottom lip. It helps a lot to keep the gunk from attaching to that area. I just follow the bottom of the lip line and trim. |
Panda trims her own hair there
I've never bothered with any other oes, unless I'm shaving the dog down, in which case, everything goes. |
Is there any good way to clean their chin hair? Martha's always looks dirty, even right after a bath. |
