Now we realize this doesn't mean fame and fortune for everyone (or anyone), but it's a fun thing to be listed at such an international site.

Go to: http://www.dogmark.net This is a Japanese site, but don't worry. You don't need the Japanese character download. If you fill the form out during registration, just choose the first boxes for one dog, and the next is for twoand the next is for two and more. Guesing on the numbers is ok, or download the Japanese character upgrade. I think Ron said it was on April 25 ... so go register today and vote Sunday, April 25. Registration was quick. Some of the other site's sound a whole lot cooler than they actually are and there's at least one other dog forum like this one. It is interesting to browse. Almost all of the contestant sites are located in the USA. See ya there Sunday! |

The only thing I saw was when you went to vote it asks for all sorts of personal info at the same time its looking for your selection. Maybe I couldn't find it? Thanks. |

| Ok, I will go out on a limb and guess how the site works. If I am wrong, you guys can come paper my house.
You go to :http://www.dogmark.net/ Then you go down to the little tag that says vote for the Cool Dog page of the month. Then fill in as much or as little of that form as you wish, but you have to give a name and a e-mail address. When you are finished filling out the form, click the VOTE button at the bottom. The site seems to count the votes by e-mail addresses and will auto e-mail you after you vote. (That is all I know). I have gone back and voted 5 times with 5 different addresses and I get this auto response thanking me for voting at every address. You do not get to vote for your site on yourCool Dog site of the day(click on th eother balloon-price tag that says View Cool Site of the Day). The VOTE for the site runs one month behind the actual viewing of the site. So actually we can not vote for our site until May 1, 2004. We can view our site on April 25, 2004, and then review our site after May 1st, under the voting tag. (Seems these guys our using us to generate hits? First for viewing, then for voting.) We can vote 1 time per day per name and e-mail address. Right now you can only vote for last month's sites. So I have been voting for all of the forums. I keep putting in my page's URL. I think that is how they nominate future month's sites. I noticed a lot of personal pages link to their members forums. This all seems to be a nifty way to generate hits and increase traffic at all of the dog sites. I have JUST entered my name and e-mail address and clicked the vote button at the bottom of the form. It is almost too easy, and I am not sure how well the site is maintained, as this is the first I have ever heard of it. But if it does work like it looks like it works, everyone should use all of their online garbage e-mail addresses and vote every day of May 2004. Guess we will know if this is how it works come Sunday, April 25 and then again on Saturday May 1, 2004. Unless anyone out there has actually experienced the whole process??????  |
| My mother in law had emergency surgery this weekend and I was out of town. did anyone go to the site and check if we were listed yesterday?
