Terry, this woman is with JRT rescue of California. I know nothing about this group but it may be worth a try:
Claudia Sprague Phone 530.846.5153 cgsprague@vmth.ucdavis.edu I'm sorry about your MIL and hope her dogs can stay together in a great home. |
Thanks for that
Ive forwarded the phone number to my Brother in law who is staying in Sacramento to sell the house and settle affairs of his Mum Thanks so much its a start |
No luck yet
Ive emailed to about 4 JRT rescue addresses and no replies as yet Im disappointed I guess but its early days yet Im sure someone will at least answer in the next few days Heres hoping Im prepared to do some paintings or donate money anything to get them a good home |
Hang in there, sometimes it takes awhile. |
Wish I could be of help but I am in Louisiana.
Good Luck with the placement!!!! |
I think Ill make enquireies here too and pay for them to come out JUst In Case!!!
Im sure Maggie & Coop would welcome them Im not sure weather Dolly & Standley will feel the same way, plus Cooper as big as he is is terrified of little dogs lololol Maggie would probaly think theyre puppies and mother them lolol |
Ive re-emailed all rescue JRT Orgs in California again
still no reply Ive had a reply from the OZ evquivalent..turns out I know her She has OES as well as JRT... who would guess..maybe bringing them here is the better option. Im disappointed no-ones answered my emails though Oh well...not everyone is a PC Nut like me |
I cant believe it!!!!
Ive had ONE reply from USA and it was I pay $50 per dog to stick their photos on a web-site IM SORRY but that s not rescue as far as Im concerned You know Ive had more help and best wishes from OES people both here and US I CANT BELIeVE IT !!! Im so disappointed and now the house is sold we are on the clock....... the frustrating part is people dont answer their emails or phones because My brother-in-law who is still OS is ringing from that end Ive offered money some of my sales anything but I guess the rescue people there have too much money Im sorry Im going off but gee Its hard enough to lose the Mother and she would be turning in her grave if she knew this was happening If anyone here belongs to another board or knows someone who does any rescue please let me know Ill keep trying and pushing Im desperate |
Have you tried putting an ad in the local newspaper in Sacramento? |
Yes my brother-in-law did and hes handed out dozens of flyers
but thanks for the thought I appreciate it |
Did you contact any of these people?
Jo Paddison - California 714-633-0294 foxtonlocks@aol.com Lenora Erb - California 530-265-5959 goldust@hughes.net Bree Beery - California 760-789-5606 Behavioral/Training Consultant Bree@BreezyMeadowsJRT.com |
Yes all those twice
I got an answer from the Lenora one She said we pay $50 a dog to put up on the Web-site and when someone answers it then and only then the dogs go to their new home We dont have that sort of time...and to be quite frank this is advertising not rescue...just my opinion of course but it just doesnt sit right with me Look Ill bring them here if I have to but its just so hard on the poor little buggers My brother-in-law is investigating a friend of a friend of a friend at the moment I hope this turns out ok Ill set up some sort of s Trust for Dolly & Stanley to make sure the new owners can give them a good life |
Maybe good news
A friend here is waiting for an answer from someone in LAX wherever that is to take the dogs Wish me luck wher is LAX????? |
Los Angeles
Good Luck!! |
I am wishing you all the best terry in trying to place your mums two very loved JR's. I hope you can find a loving home for them there together rather then having to bring them to Australia. It would be awfully traumatic on them to come here and spend a whole month in quaranteen at the quaranteen kennels in Melbourne. Not to mention to all the testing done on the dogs before they arrive here that takes months.
If it does come to that let me know and if they arrive in quaranteen will visit them on a regular basis and check up on them for you. Stressfull it is for young dogs but I hope you can find a home there rather then the option of coming here for that reason, older dogs and so much change is a dreadful worry. Best of luck in your search and keeping fingers crossed for your mums 2 JR's. |
How is the search going Terry. Have you heard anything more from anyone.
Jess. |
Thanks Lisa I appreciate that
Hughs family lives in Melbourne too so I think the Quarantee people will be sick of us after a couple of weeks visiting them all the time Ha Ha a good thing I think !!! Theyll need to feel loved if they are stuck in there for weeks. I havent given up on them staying in USA though...we have till the 20th June. Thats the settlement Day on the house Heres hoping!!!! |
Did you have any luck? How'd it go? |
