He called his super. (someone HAS to be in their dept. 24/7), and Jason went to the ER when he got there. He drove there, so he's doing okay physically. He says it hurts pretty bad though - poor guy. The doc told him that it's possible he might of messed up the bone/nerve and he might lose the tip of his pinky finger. He has to go see a specialist on Monday. Would you mind saying a tiny prayer about that? Even after all of that - guess where he is now? Back at work! lol I wish he would have just come home. I know he's okay, but still...I think I got a reality check of how easy it would be for something to happen to him. I want him home so I can give him a big hug and cuddle with him. |

Oh my gosh, how scary for him (and you). I'm glad he's okay, big prayers being sent your way. |
Wow
I sure hope he keeps all his digits, that would be scary. To go back to work, even more amazing. |
Wow is right. I cannot believe he had to wait for someone to relieve him.
I also cannot believe he drove himself to the ER and I really cannot believe he went back to work. MEN!! Such tough guys! I hope there is no lasting damage and he's ok. |
Shocking!
Of course I'll keep him and his finger and his bones in my prayers. You too. |
OH MY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! How AWFULL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I hope everything is ok!!!!!!! Please keep us posted!!!!!!!!!!!!!
We've had bad thunderstorms here this week, Doug works at Cornell U in the HVACR. The Lake source Cooling system went down the other day and ALL THE chillers on campus had to be restarted, he had to work almost all night. nothing so awful as getting electrocuted though!!!!! I hope your husband recovers quickly and 100%!!!!!!! |
Wow, I hate dealing with anything electrical, I've been shocked a couple of times and it really hurts!
I hope he heals quickly and that there is no lasting damage! |
I am so sorry to hear- that is terrible. Hope he recovers soon!!!! |
Gail!
That is awful, thank heavens it wasn't worse. I will keep you all in my prayers! ~Becca |
OMG, Gail! What a frightening experience (no pun intended). So glad he's okay, I fully understand how you would want him home after that. These macho men of ours!! |
How scary... something like that really puts life in perspective. Sending prayers and best wishes for a speedy recovery! |
Crossing my fingers for his finger. But seriously, I hope everything is okay. I'll keep you all in my thoughts and prayers. |
Hi Gail, So sorry to hear about Jason's accident. Our thoughts and prayers are with your family. Hope he is recovering and feeling better. |
Gail, he's in my prayers. Hope everything returns to normal. Keep us posted. |
I think he's fine. His hand/arm still burns, but if he keeps the house freezing (brrr), it feels fine. I think he has the thermostat set down to 60, so me and the boys are bundled up in winter clothes, lol
The worst area hit was his ring finger and his pinky. Good thing he wasn't wearing his wedding ring last night. He says other than the burning feeling, it's numb for the most part. He's still asleep, but hopefully he has more feeling in it today (as long as it isn't painful - lol). Thanks for the concern everyone, it's much appreciated. |
Yikes! I am so glad he is ok. That's a close call!! |
Poor guy! I'll definitely keep him - and you - in my prayers! |
OH NO!!! hOW SCARY... I SURE HOPE HE HEALS FAST... POOR GUY OUCHIE OUCH! |
That is scary!!! I'm glad he will be okay and it wasn't something more serious! |
How scary! Glad he is going to be okay! |
Poor guy---I hope it feels better soon
I get shocked every time I'm on the treadmill and my finger accidentally touches the machine--and THAT hurts...I can't imagine being shocked for real. |
OUCH!!!!! Hope he feels better and of course Ill say a little prayer for him....and his pinky! |
WOW! That is frightening I am so glad that he was not knocked unconscious with noone else around, it could have been much worse. Sending prayers for his fingers to be perfectly healthy after some rest.

Sorry to hear that I hope eveything is OK.
Ron you are awful. Quote: Shocking! |
Glad to hear he's doing better. How scary, and lucky too that nothing worse happened. |
Very scary, glad he is OK, thinking of you all. |
Well, now that he is awake... his finger is black now, just the part from the top joint of his pinky to his fingertip.
Also, I learned today that it knocked him off the platform he was standing on. Now, Jason is 6'3 and like 280 pounds - he's not a small guy. I can't believe it was strong enough to knock him down like that. It was a 480 volt surge. Luckily though, this incident made them order gloves for the employees, so hopefully nothing like this will happen again. I can't believe it's not OSHA regulations for that already, but it's not.. |
It's his own muscles that knocked him back.
Hope that pinky is ok! |
