Ha ha!! It had better be an easy year - last year kept everyone on their toes. The ocean is supposed to be a little cooler this year, so maybe that will help?!  |
| Hurricane preparedness is all over our tv and radio down here because of Katrina & Rita last year. And of course I am in insurance so it really hits home because of the claims - so we have in place "what to do" and contact info.
The latest info for this season (if it comes true) is that this is going to be a very bad year for them. The following comes from our local newspaper here in Baton Rouge (2theadvocate.com): Hurricane expert and meteorologist Dr. William Gray updated his forecast on Wednesday, saying he expects 17 named storms, nine hurricanes, and five major hurricanes. A year ago the Atlantic region had a record 15 hurricanes and seven major hurricanes. |
