White fish recipes without oil or breading?

Got any white fish recipes that doesn't have oil or breading? I've poached in everything.

they would probably work 'en pappilotte (sp) where you cook them with veggies wrapped in parchment paper- I've never tried it, but check any salmon En Pappillotte recipe for instructions (if you can figure out how to spell it correctly  ). My favorite recipe is Tillapia with toasted pecans(so wonderful), but it is a pan fry recipe.
depending on the white fish you can grill them, which is really good, or you can also get one of those fish pans for the grills, so you lift that, rather than the fish so it won't be so delicate.
My mom broils swordfish and salmon
I'm trying to drop ALOT of weight, so the pecans are out for a long while, but a good idea. I have the parchment in the drawer...forgot about it. Using veggies "in paper" is a great idea, thanks. Tilapia was just purchased about an hour ago. Orange Roughy was a bit too pricey for as much fish as I'm eating.

A good way to cook white fish is in a bamboo steamer and do it with veggies in an asian style. The fish definitely needs some sort of sauce (mmm, terriyaki) to go on it, but you can get the low sodium version of that.

You can also poach or braise it in tomato broth, which can give it an italian flavor. just dump one of those big cans of stewed tomatoes and add some garlic and onions and spinach and bring to a boil and add the fish and let simmer until finished.

Also, ciapino (sp?) is a good soup/stew with various fish and seafood in it that is in a tomato/chicken broth base...
Asian sounds good, but NO salt. My feet are finally back to their normal big size, not big, swollen and wide size.

Amazing what has salt in it......turkey products. All that natural seasoning is just salt or msg. Boo! So trying to stay with the non-oily white fishes for awhile.

Will wrap fish in leafy greens with ginger and steam them, that might be good with rice vinegar and oriental seasonings....maybe 5 spice?

I grilled some the other day - stuffed it with fresh herbs and lemon slices. It was very good.
My Grandma used to prepare whitefish- this is her recipe and it is healthy and good!

filets of whitefish
1 stalk celery, washed, cut in pieces
½ head lettuce, washed, shredded
4 tablespoons butter (I PREPARE MINE WITH ONLY 2 TBSP)
1 cup water
Seasonings to taste (I use garlic powder and a dash of Lawrys)

Instructions
Boil lettuce, celery, butter and seasonings in the water for about 15 minutes.
Put whitefish in a baking dish and pour over it the lettuce mixture.
Bake in moderate oven for about 10 minutes.
Then serve.
That's just weird enough to be good. I'll try it, thank you.
Flounder Florentine is good. Cook some spinach with buttermilk, shallots, red pepper flakes, a dash of nutmeg, a bit of romano cheese and enough chicken stock to bind it together. Top the fish with the mixture and broil it.
Susan, sorry it took so long for me to post, but I dont remember the recipe exactly....but here it goes

white flakey fish of some sort
low sodium chicken broth
fresh bok choy
fresh spinich
garlic
asian hot sauce

poach together...
remove fish and veggies from pan when cooked..add some cornstarch to thicken.. add s and p to taste
serve over rice
