Probably a urinary tract infection or ear infection... are their bowel movements normal? If not you may want to take a stool sample in to rule out parasites. |
The thing that jumps out at me is that funky gland smell. Really stinky stuff!
Could they be emptying their glands or need to have them emptied? You might want to make a trip to the vet to have them checked out. Sometimes changing to a food that firms up the stool (sorry to be graphic but this is a offensive topic to start with ) or one that bulks it up allows them to empty them naturally when their supposed to... when they move their bowels. |
Those are all good suggestions as to what the culprit could be. Definitely check the ears-- it's amazing the smell that can come out of there. A little bit of yeast in there makes for a real stink. |
Can you tell where the smell is coming from? When my basset was smelling, I literally got down and sniffed over him. I finally figured out it was coming from his flews. Now I keep him washed real well, and it helps.
Also, by the age of your pups, it could be coming from teething. They get a nasty dead smell from the teething as the gums swell, baby teeth are dying and get a old bloody smell. Just an idea - this one passes by itself! |
