No I Will Not Share My Toys-Toy Hogging!

Has anyone dealt with toy hogging? We have tons of toys but if we get them out for the boys to play with Lucky will run around and pick up as many as he can hold in his mouth (the record is 4 stuffies at one time) and run and hide them and come back and get more, etc... until he makes sure Sam has none. And by chance if Sam gets just one - Lucky will growl at him until Sam drops the toy and walks off.

We even went so far as to throw all the stuffies away and went and got a brand new bag of toys that didn't have any dogs scent on them. Purchased 2 new Kongs, 2 new Nylabones, etc... Lucky still thinks that they are all his.

So anyone have any idea how to get Lucky to share?

I know all about this. I just purchased two of the same toys, a fleece dog.
One for Pepsi, one for Rags. The problem is that Rags wants whichever one Pepsi has. So I will go and find the other one and give it to him. As soon as I do this she drops the one she has and goes over and steals his.
She also does the same thing with the Kongs
I have no advice on sharing since I haven't figured out how to get mine to share. Sorry :(
The Everlasting Treat Balls turned into Everlasting Fight Balls because everyone wanted the one that they didn't have (even though they're identical). I try giving things in opposite rooms out of sight of the others and try to get them setlled in with it before they see the other one. Clyde is the worst thief and will steal things and sit on them just so the others can't have them. Pig.
Maybe they have a toy each in seperate zones of the house and when they are together, no toys then there is no snatching away of the others toy. Sounds like lucky is the dominant one when it comes to Sam. You do have to be careful because one day Sam might just get annoyed at lucky pinching his toys.

I have the same problem except Kelsey steals them and terminates them and I am sure it is out of spite to Brie. Brie has always been gentle and loving with her stuffies, never destroyed one, Kelsey makes up for that!

Sooo that is what I do, Brie has her stuffies in her pen and sleeps with them all, or in the family room when I can supervise so the stuffie terminator can't work her destruction  Kelsey has her indestructable KONG in another area of the house, when I am not there.

BOY WORSE THEN KIDS!!sibiling rivalry, Kelseys philosiphy is what's yours is MINE and what's mine is MINE
We have the same problem. Ava is very good to her stuffies - she snuggles them and only gently mouths them when she plays. Gertie, on the other hand, will grab them from Ava and promptly set about chewing the face off of whichever stuffie she managed to get. Now the stuffies stay in Ava's kennel.....
We haven't had stuffed toys since Riley was 4 months old. At that point, she was big enough that the older dogs decided she was no longer a puppy with special privledges. All of the toys became community toys.

Ben has improved his skill at destroying stuffed toys - less than a minute for most. He takes longer for regulation tennis balls - he savors the joy of tearing off the cover in two pieces, then the layers underneath. But he does leave the 4 inch and the 8 inch tennis balls alone.

Riley liked the Kongs when she was teething, but they all ignore them now. The favorite toy is a rubber 3 inch squeakie soccer ball. They play tug of war with it, but never hard enough to ruin it. One of them will bring it to another and off the chase begins. Followed quickly by a tug-of-war - with no one pulling hard, mostly a play growl at the other.
Mine don't really hog ALL the toys, but they're just like little kids, if one has something and seems to be having fun with it, they all want it.
Rosco gathers up his favorites and hides them under the sofas. Great plan, except that he can't retrieve them
Soory, no advice...just sympathy...AND...can you take a picture of him with all 4 stuffies in his mouth?

Barney just steals the cat toys...but he's amazingly gentle with them..even though they are so small...
