There is a full-sheepie pup down in Howell! http://search.petfinder.com/petnote/dis ... id=6304853 I spoke with the shelter and they are a low kill facility so she should be fine until her perfect family comes along. I just wanted to post in case anyone here is looking to add a new family member! Humane Society of Livingston County 517-552-8050 ext 10 sarah@humane-livingston.org 2464 Dorr Road Howell MI 48843 Old English Sheepdog Size: Medium Age: Baby Sex: Female ID: Notes: Panda is a purebred Old English Sheepdog. She was born sometime around the end of March 2006. Panda was given up because her owners were moving to Arizona. Panda and another puppy, Moses, were owned by the same people for a short period of time. Panda is a happy girl who will make an excellent companion! Her new owners should plan to enroll her in obedience classes. Panda will also need help with house training and will need to learn manners and acceptable dog-behavior! |

Aw! I wonder why they didn't take the pup back to the breeder? Unless it's from a puppy mill or store to begin with. |
Yeah... could also be a backyard breeder. Maybe they had to leave in a hurry and simply turned her in. Could be just about anything from just not really caring to a medical emergency where they had to pick up and leave immediately with no way to care for her. You just never know what people do or why they do it. I hope she finds a great home... glad there isn't a picture posted |
We got our Izzie from a breeder in Howell, MI.
This pup must be really young if she was only born at the end of March of this year. Amanda |
Man, oh man. Izzie is gorgeous!
Like I said, good thing there was no picture posted for this pup. The age was the first thing I noticed too. Hopefully it's off by a month or so. |

Thanks Amanda
Just before picking up my very first full-sheepies (that would be Emma and Darby), I bought a basic camera for everyday pictures. It kinda grew from there My girls are complete and total tomboys... Izzie looks like a real lady Whoever does her hair did a wonderful job! |

Izzie looks like a real lady She is anything but...last friday I get to daycare to pick her up and one of the groomers says "guess what Izzie did today"...I get that sinking feeling and ask what? The daycare play space is indoors. They have a tiny space outdoors for puppy bathroom use, and most of the space is gravel. Izzie managed to cover herself in mud from the tiny amount of soil outside...the exact words they used were..."she had no white fur showing". She also was able to throw mud all over a yellow lab. They had to give both of them baths before pick up time. This is the second time Izzie has done this....the first time at their old location (had a large grassy area) and once at this new location. I don't think it even occured to them that dogs could get that dirty with the tiny amount of dirt available. She can be quite a handful...but always a laugh. I have now successfully hijacked this thread...I guess I have at least kept it popping up. Amanda |
I really hope that shelter tries to look for a tatoo or microchip, if the pup is from a reputable breeder it can be given back to them and then rehomed properly. |
I just hope who ever adopts this little sheepie-girl will give her a great home. Don't good breeders keep in touch with their customers? Gosh, I'd be checking up on them all the time to make sure things were going well for everyone... both dog and humans. I'd kill me if one ended up in a bad situation because I failed follow up. Guess you know why I'm not a breeder.
Amanda, I don't believe a word of it. There is no way such a pretty sheepie with that angelic face could have done THAT Leave it to sheepies to find mud and dirt. I think there is some kind of magnetic attraction. |

Good breeders do. However, if the owners didn't tell the breeder, or lied etc... then they wouldn't know unless the shelter contacts them via tracing any tattoo or chip. |
Panda has been adopted
http://search.petfinder.com/petnote/dis ... id=6304853 I hope she's found an adoring family. |
Yea Panda!! I hope this is her furever home.
