Stacy,
Yes you can get them directly from the butcher. Usually they will give you the whole rib (meat and bone) The really don't have very much meat on them. I get the Beef Ribs since Peanut is allergic to pork. You could always try the marrow bones. |
We live in Atlanta and I got Chipper's at Publix... HE LOVES them, keeps him entertained and is good for his teeth, etc.... the only negative - his legs and mouth area get real messy so he gets a bath thereafter!!! |

LOL Yes, I usually wait until the week that Annie is going for a bath to give her a beef marrow bone. However, her 9th birthday is tomorrow and I want to give her one so she knows it's a special day. |
I have given Daisy small beef marrow bones since I got her at 3 mos. They keep her occupied and the teeth clean.
The only place I have found since moving is the grocery store that sells 2" cut marrow bones frozen and I generally give her one each night to keep her occupied for a while so I can relax. This is the one treat she really loves and looks forward to. (She won't touch most dog treats). |
