Goodbye my dear dear boy
He had a good life, was a beautiful dog and I will always be thankful to Val and Raff ZaZa for letting us have him. He was 1 major short of finishing his Championship. He had a gorgeous coat and what a joy he was to have. He was the sweetest boy to his momma and his other dad these past 4 years. He never failed to remember me when I would go and visit him and was always torn over whom to go or stay with. He loved his flock of turkey's he guarded and loved his car rides and his red ball. It's just been a long 2006 here. One that can end at any time soon. The trip to show Delilah at CRUFTS was great, BUT (and we all know there is a but there!) I caught whatever it was Norm had and have been down ever since. Week before last I had fever of 103 off and on. I don't even remember talking to people on the phone. I wanted someone to shoot me literally, every joint and bone in my body ached and I couldn't breath. I actually tore drawers apart looking for prednisone the one night and then promptly took myself to the Dr. in the A.M. (don't you love nurses that self diagnose and medicate!) Well last week i felt like a human again. In the midst of all of this, Delilah came in and went out of season. Then, Carmela came into season. I have been dealing with Molly and Carmela wanting to be the Alpha Bitch here and ripping each other apart. One day they were playing in the yard, that night Katie bar the door..........I think this last go round however will be in their minds and they won't forget. Myrddin's death was just the last drop in the bucket. I never wanted to give this boy away but he and Duncan didn't get along......they were both too much of mommy's boys and didn't want to compete. Sometimes being a breeder is hard and you have to make decisions you never want to make. I am trying not to place one or both of these 2 girls, but I am tired, and I am tired of being here alone. Norm will be home for 2 weeks in 21 days.....for this i cannot wait. thanks for letting me vent. |

| Ali I am so sad for you at the loss of Mydridd, it never is easy when one of our babies cross the rainbow bridge. You are all there in my prayers at this sad time.
Also hoping things will imrpove for you, you are a marvel and I don't know how you cope with all that is going on at home while the other half is overseas serving their country. Hope things settle for you and you feel better soon, sincere thoughts for you all. |
