I did study art for many years....but drawing is not one of my strong points. This is from a picture that I took of Pepsi. I then edited it in one of my software programs and turned it into a sketch.  |
Mine's a Photoshop creation too-- several different effects and a little manual manipulation. I do a lot of desktop publishing and graphic design work. I can draw pretty well but I haven't splurged on the pen tools for Photoshop yet so I can freehand things. I also studied art until I had a professor that left such a bad impression me, I switched majors. Then again, that's not saying too much-- I switched majors about 6 times and graduated with my undergrad with over 220 credits.  |
| and actually, on jill's you can just go and open your picture on the computer and go to the toolbar and go to 'effects' and choose 'watercolor' and it does a similar thing... |

| I had to look for this one.
<-- I was going to make a bunch of little Clyde cartoons but never got around to it. The other one was actually a little bit of extracting unwanted colors (to get the main few that I worked with), a watercolor wash, fresco to bring the brush detail out more and I did a little manual blurring to smooth out the colors. You lose a lot in the little tiny pics. I did a big one and you can see the detail in it much better beyond the watercolor. |

It's funny that you said that because I made him into a little ninja in some of the other pics that I was messing with. A friend of ours always called Clyde's ponytail his samurai ponytail so that's where the idea came from.  I can't find the better ones on this computer. I have 4 machines so they could be anywhere! |
