Does anyone know of a product to remove the stains to get him white again? |

Blueing/Whitening Shampoo. The actual shampoo is blue and it is meant to whiten whites
When I got Pepsi he had been in the local shelter and had urine encrusted on his stomach and legs. I used the Blueing shampoo, but it didn't get the entire stain. It was just too badly stained. It wasn't until I shaved him down a few months later and finally the stained hair was gone. |
I really like using the blueing/whitening shampoo for the whites too. It takes a few times (rinse and repeat) for the really tough areas...around the mouth, feet, etc., but if you use it regularly, it seems to get a little cleaner each time.
Beware of things like peroxide and other "whiteners" typically used on humans - it can damage the hair (as it does with people). Most whiteners made for dogs have special ingredients to protect the hair and encourage natural, healthy growth and oil production. Good luck! |
What a good suggestion. Just know those whitening shampoos are really harsh, so if you do buy one... don't use it all the time unless you plan on conditioning. |
