The Great Bone Wars

So I'm home from work with a migraine today. After 45 minutes ago, I finally was able to get out of bed. I don't feel great but the light sensistivity isn't so bad that I have to be in complete darkness. However, the sounds of dogs barking (even though it's just playing) are enough to drive me up a wall. So I brought out the babysitters: 2 big Dingo rawhide bones and a big beef knuckle bone. That'll usually keep the monsters at bay for a few hours.

I gave Lucy and Clyde a rawhide and Bear got the knuckle bone because he loves to chew hard-- he has some of the biggest teeth I've ever seen on a dog! Lucy is smart, she takes hers in the other room and even when she's not chewing, she puts it under her body so no one "borrows" it. However, poor Bear hasn't learned the ropes yet. Bear got up for a drink of water and Piggy, aka Clyde, moved in immediately to horde the bone. As Clyde walked over to Bear's bone, Bear went to get Clyde's. They both sat down to chew. This process repeated about six times.

Again, Bear got up for something so Clyde got up, stole Bear's and sat on it. Bear comes back and looks around all confused, like what the !@#$ ?, that bone was just here. Clyde lifted his paw just enough to reveal the stolen bone to Bear. Bear jumped straight up in the air and barked, like "Cut it out!" So Clyde gets up, sticks his butt in Bear's face as if to say, "ha ha ha ha ha ha." Finally, I take away the knuckle bone and just give Bear a rawhide too, so everyone has the same. They all chewed quietly for about 2 minutes and then ditched the bones completely in favor of running around the house at full speed with their SpongeBob toys.

I guess I took all the fun out of it. Sometimes I think they do everything they do just to taunt me

LOL....I can picture this perfectly!!

It's all part of their plan to take over the household, Jill!!
LMAO

Get off the computer...you have a migraine!!!!
Not funny from your end, I'm sure, but sure is funny reading about it and picturing it! Just like siblings - Ha, ha! I've got two and you've got none!! At least you're trying to settle them down, even with a migraine. Whenever I had a migraine, the house could fall down around me and I wouldn't have cared!

Hope you feel better soon!
Poor Jill.....perfect chaos......what more could a girl want while getting rid of a migraine???

peace and quiet is overrated.....obnoxious dog antics may be the new remedy...

Did it work?
Hope the migraine is gone - but great story
Good story! It's so much fun watching animals interact with each other- especially siblings!
We needed video of that.
Sounds way too familiar!!
I was buying two of everything, but realized it was pretty pointless since they always want the one the other one is eating. Even if it is exactly the same thing. Just like real kids.

How true... at Petsmart the other day, I bought three tennis balls, one for each (the two human kids and the one canine kid)... I was LMAO!!!

Wonderful story. Better your house than mine, though. Actually, mine probably do this outside away from Mom who will just interfere.

When Sam was alive, EVERYTHING ended up under him. I had no trouble finding bones after two or three hours.......Sam had them. Made clean up easier 8)
