6 weeks: d,m, p 9 weeks: d,p,c,b 13 weeks: d, p, c, limes disease 16 weeks: d,p,c, l another clinic does 3 sets of dhpc and follows up with r,p, c on the last visit. Every clinic I call is different. I read the news flash on the forum about vaccinations. I just wanted some input on everyones thoughts on this. What has everyone done for their oes? When I talked to Kaye she had a different regimen also! When I talked to the vet and told them about Kayes beliefs-holistic, natural medicine- they said this is how we do it and we only use frontline for fleas. No one seemed to help me with this at all. I am in a bind and would like all the advice. I would like to be as natural as possible; however, no vet seems to be willing to work with me on this. PLEASE HELP!!! |

Most Vet will schedule at least 4 weeks between. I think they need to stagger the shots out and not give them all at one time. Like Parvo and Distemper....Then in 2 weeks Corona and Heptitis. It is much easier on the puppies immune system...Parvo is the most important...... The l stands for Lepto and I don't think it should given. That vaccine is very toxic. A lot of vets don't even give it anymore. After the third series of shots the Baby is immune..... My opinion for what it is worth is that we are killing our Babies over vaccinating them. That immunity last for at least 5 years. Giving vaccinations every 3 years is enough. We are seeing a drastic increase in Cancer, Immune realted diseases in all the breeds. I think that is due to poor nutrition, over vaccination. chemicals and preservatives. I know it is scary. There is some very good info that has been posted under the catagory of vaccinations ............ Love Kaye |
If you want to see lots of info about vaccines and newer studies in regards to them, check out the "Vaccine" posts throughout the medical and nutrition section....
Also, you can print this off and take it to your vet, it is a pdf format of the official protocol that vets are supposed to be following now. http://www.aahanet.org/About_aaha/vacci ... ines06.pdf |
Thank You Stacy...... All Help and opinions Appreciated...Kaye |
Many vets are relunctant to change, because until the lable on the bottle states it they are still supposed to follw the manufacturer's instructions....which are the old way...
These things take time, so that is why the different answers. Buit I definitely agree that the less junk we put into their little bodies the better. For older dogs it may be too late to adopt the new protocal, if it wasn't done that way from the beginning. |
I lost an Old English Sheepdog 4 years ago to a vaccine reaction. He died 10 days after vaccination from Immune Mediated Thrombocytopenia. He bled to death. It was pretty gruesome. I am currently in litigation with the vet. I have found a huge amount of info on the subject. To those of you in the Houston area I would advise you to check out http://critterfixer.com/ Dr. Rogers is an expert on the subject and a really nice person. There is a schedule lister on critterfixer and I would recommend you follow it. |
Thanks for such great info. We go to the vet tomorrow. All the info will be very useful.
THanks a bunch! |
Soooooooooooooo, what happened at the vet? |
Went to the vet- he was very understanding! He stated in each state there are different restrictions and requirements for shots. I stated he would work with us and would do what was right for Julie. Now, we are moving to PA and guess what... we need to find a new vet there. THe forum has been great in suggestions and recommendations! |
