I must admit, having had a hand in naming the puppies I'm a bit sad to see their names changed but it's so exciting that they have found wonderful new homes!!! WELCOME HOME CHIPPER!!!!! | In about 1 hour, Chipper will have been home with us for 24 hours.... he is such a "love bug" and is doing wonderful. So far, he has enjoyed his Wellness Puppy, yogurt, carrots, apples and goats milk (water avail all the time) and have been doing super with his pottying outside... I have praised and rewarded him with bits of apple each time he goes outside- which is working very well. He slept from 11pm to 6:45 this morning, so he did well- I am sure he was exhausted from his "big travels" yesterday. Our two cats are still not 100% positive about him, but I am letting them all experience eachother at their own pace, not forcing anything. When Chip falls asleep, the "girls (cats)" do their sniffing on his toes, etc... so they are trying too.
He is very inquisitive, and very loving. Love playing and each time i look, has a new toy in his mouth. He has figured out how to find our bedrooms, so that was interresting this morning- and he is tall enough to stand on his hind legs and put those two little front ones on the couch- TOO ADORABLE!!!! I am in love!

| This is a great time of year to get a puppy, the wonderful weather will make house training sooooooo much easier!!!!!

| He is such a happy little guy... bounces around and has the whole first floor completely investigated, so he knows his way around. Not sure who was more exhausted last night, Chipper or the boys. Chris and Matt were both lucky to gain lots of puppy kisses, and they both thinkt hat Chipper is quicker than I am running outside (THEY ARE PROBABLY RIGHT!!!)....
He has been great- pottying outside all the time. Nights have been good too. He introduced himself to my flip-flop yesterday afternoon- and seemed to enjoy it until Mommy caught him (HEEE HEEE)... Overall, he is a sweet, gentle baby and I could stare at him all day!!! WE LOVE HIM!!!  |

| He is doing fabulous! Had his "meet the vet" this morning and he was the hit of the office- there are not many OES's in the area,,, so everyone cooed over him
He has been doing great, peeing and pooping outside, and he still loves those belly rubs. We introduced him to "Triangle" last night, and he was in the middle,,, the boys and I mad ea large triangle and rolled the tennis ball back and forth= Chipper had a blast, and we had many laughs! He was just at my feet, chewing on his carrot, when I felt a quick prick- he chose my toe over the carrot- OUCH!! Those puppy teeth are sharp. He then gave lots of kisses, so those made up for the ouchie. The cats are tolerating him better, in fact Midnight, our 4 year old, joined him for some chicken and brown rice for lunch... sweet moment!! Hope everyone is doing super out there... Love, Chipper |

| What a wonderful blessing Chipper has been in our lives... the fun, laughs, kisses, snuggles and overall bonding time has been perfect. He has adjusted very well, eats like a horse, sleeps all night, and has only had one accident in the house, and it was really my fault for not getting to the door quick enough. His personality is so warm and loving, and he is simply a gorgeous pup! He loves frisbee, fetch, and has aced "swiping" Matt's socks off his feet at the right moment- of course Matt laughs!!! We had some thunderstorms roll thru today- Chipper was not too pleased with those, but we survived together...
We hope all of Chipper's liter mates are doing well and adjusting to their new homes too! It is great to see new info on the other pups... an extended family!!! BEST TO ALL!!! |
