Hi,
I don't know offhand where you can purchase material like this but if you do find some I'm sure the many members here would love to hear where you did manage to find some. One thing that crossed my mind is I purchased some items from the NEOES rescue auction (New England Old English Sheepdog Auction) and they had many items made of the material you're looking for. Perhaps contact them? Hope that helps. Marianne |
You should have asked this before I shaved Abbi. I had a plastic bag full of 3-5 inch hair!
You are talking about purchasing OES knitted and crochet fabric, and not just tapestries or prints, right? Here is a website that tells you how to handspin hair ... maybe you can ask for donations from a pet salon or somewhere? http://www.mdnpd.com/pd/expect.htm And there were several women on the OES list that made things from OES hair, I believe they would even bleach and dye it. Anyone have their names? |

Those are really cute! Now, who can teach me to make a quilt? I have been wanting to do this furever! |
I've found several different OES patterns of fabric on eBay. Wish I had time to sew it up into something. Also just finished spinning three skeins of OES hair today. Believe me, whatever people charge for handspun items is worth the price. |
I currently have two bags of my dog's hair. I hope to find someone who can spin the hair into thread so that I can knit something with it. |
