Hopefully as fast as my Clyde will. I just cut him down too and all I want is the hair back. They grow about an inch a month so we'll have a few months before our guys are back to normal! |
It'll grow way faster than you expect. Make sure to keep up with the brushing even while it's short like this. Those knots are sneaky little beasts! They'll creep in during this low maintenance time and if you don't realize it you'll end up being stuck here all over again.
I've come to the realization that if you were to have to get a degree in dog grooming that OES would be post-graduate work! This generic dog training doesn't do any justice to the breed especially for the most well meaning people who have never owned a sheepdog. I think you really have to live with this breed to understand all the ins and outs of their grooming, even the trim down or puppy cut is hard to get right! Grrr |
I think that as they get older hair growth slows, I have noticed that Tasker doesn't need to be clipped as often now. |
