That's great! Please share all your advice with them including the good and bad. Also, please post some pictures of Olive. I'd love to see this beautiful girl. |
Hi,
Oh that is so cool!!! Nothing makes a mom prouder when her baby is oohed and ahhed by all! That's the neat thing about sheepies, unlike other dogs I've owned , a sheepie will always attract attention! Marianne and the boys |
I know just how you feel. I take Daisy to a dog park nearby most everyday after work. It's hard to say whether she is more excited to meet all the people or the dogs. Before we leave she has to have gone up to everyone there to be petted.
Anyone who is there more than a couple of times when we are, know who she is and call her by name. Everyone loves her, especially the kids when they see the "shaggy dog" |
How awesome! I still get excited when other people get excited over seeing them. Sort of a cause and effect relationship that renews your love of the breed everytime you go out in public.
Oh and I'm also happy to hear that another dog does the headfirst roll! Everytime you think yours is weird, someone comes along and reaffirms that they're normal. |
First time I saw a sheepdog do a head first roll was at a dog show. On the out (or down) and back, the dog got to the far side, rolled, came right back up and headed back. Reminded me of a flip turn in swimming competition. I was impressed! Handler wasn't. Judge realized the dog had slipped. |
WELL YES OLIVE FLIPS HEAD FIRST A LOT. i WAS WOUNDERING IF IT WAS AN OES THING GOOD TO KNOW YOUR DOGS DO THIS TOO. I WAS KINDA WORRIED SHE COULD HURT HER NECK BUT SHE IS SOOOO CUTE AND GRACEFULL IN A FLOPPY PUPPY WAY. SHE JUST ROLLS INTO POSITION AND THEN STICKS HER OUT HER TOUNG AND HER EYES SAY PET MY BELLY. ITS GREAT REALLY, AND THE NEIGHBORS THINK SO TOO. SO YIPPIE FOR THE OES ROLL |
