Who Would be in for a Michigan Picnic This Summer?
If you think it's something that you'd like to do, let me know by posting here and I'll start scouting out spots. We have a couple of nice off leash parks (they're bark parks that are part of a bigger county park) and plenty of parks and beaches in Michigan. I definitely don't mind doing the planning as long as there's enough interest. Also, of course, this would be open to anyone who'd be willing to make the trip-- we'll take everyone! ME  I'll bring party subs for everyone, that will make it easier for those who have to travel. I know Jil will want to, how about you Jaci? Stacy, Chicago is only 7 hours, Deborah and Paula, about the same. How about those from Canada? Nicole, are you far from the tunnel? |

Thanks, Jill! It's only five hours from my home to Detroit, sounds like fun

| Probably not, but be prepared for a lecture at the border. We went to the casino a couple of months ago over there and all one guy had was his license and they really gave him an earful but did let us through. Just bring your birth certificate and any other identifiers that you have and you should be fine. |

Ooooh... I wish we could go. With 6 it's almost impossible to travel. Jim and I are definite home-bodies. The ONLY reason we have traveled in the past 2 years is to pick up our 4 sheepie-girls and all 4 came to us through the Detroit airport . I don't think there will be any new additions in time to attend the picnic  (Boy, oh boy, am I kidding!)
