Nice to be here with other Shaggie lovers. My name is Eve, and my huband and I lost our beloved 10 year old Grizzly, to intestinal cancer, the end of January. We were shattered On a "Happier" note we got 2 OES pups, Bear and Dandi, litter mates now 13 weeks old. They have brought laughter, frustration, hehehe, and the joyous sound of squeaky toys back into our lives. We are thrilled with them, just beautiful fur kids. Our little poopies, as we call them since they have to go out so MANY times. I'm sure you know what I'm talking about, that OES way of manupulating all your time, hahahahhahaa. Glad to join you ! |

How did you come up with the name Dandi? I don't think I have heard it before. Amanda |
Welcome, Eve!
So sorry to hear of your loss of Grizzly; a lot of us know just how devastating losing one of our big furry friends can be. We're here if you want to chat about it. I'm looking forward to watching Bear and Dandi grow! They are cuties! |
Welcome to the forum. Your pups are so cute. We need more pics LOL. Love pupies!! |
Your puppies are beautiful! What a wonderful way to celebrate the memory of your Grizzly. I look forward to hearing the tales of their many antics!!! |
Your puppies are gorgeous! How are you doing with 2 at the same time? We are getting one puppy at the end of the month but are thinking about a second litter mate. Double the work or do they keep each other company?
Thanks! |
Welcome Eve and Fur kids,
Greetings from Australia, look forward to hearing all about the 2 lil ones Lisa, Kelsey and Brie |
Welcome to the forum form Norway!
So sorry to hear of your loss |
Welcome to the forum, you're pups are beautiful!! |
Welcome!!! 2 puppies...sigh...awesome!! |
Hey thank you everyone , :0) I had some spare time tonight and read all your welcomes, and looked at each one of your beautiful doggie pics.
Wow, just amazes me how gorgeous these dogs are, such expressive faces every one , and the thing I love best is they are so goofy, LOL lots of fun. I'm glad to see so many of you have MORE than one OES. We were a little worried how it might be, if they would grow to fight, or be jealeous or if they would bond with each other and us, and we could all be happy. The pups put me through the ringer today, hehehehe, geesh.... They are big pups, and when standing now can reach a table we have in the kitchen where they stay. Anyway I was off doing something and noticed it was TOO quiet I went to check and saw a basket of bananas being pulled off the table by Bear. Later Dandi was seen standing trying to use the telephone(or EAT it) LOL Needless to say our lesson tomorrow will be OFF, NO , NO, NO, hahahahaa LOL Have a nice night ! |
Hi ,
I've already enjoyed hearing the adventures of your two little ones and can't wait for more stories and more photos too! I'm sorry about the passing of Grizzly..I've experienced loss of some beloved furballs and it does ease the pain being able to offer new ones a home. I'm sure they keep you smiling all day. I'm Marianne , mom to two upright boys and 9 furry creatures in my home..the canines are Merlin, Panda and Blue. Welcome! Marianne and the boys |
Hi Marianne, thank you, yeah Grizzly was something and always will be, still is hard.
But these 2 little banchees have my day filled to capacity , LOL and yes a big smile can be seen on our faces MOST of the time. You seem to have a housefull I have a couple kittys, a squirrel, and many lizards as pets and I breed them (pretty lizards) veggie and bug eaters, ONLY. Let me ask you, having three OES do they get along well with each other? Any squabbles? I love the names you chose too :0) |
Hello & Welcome
awww 2 Cute puppies... Kim & MAIZIE |
Hi Kim, Wow, just looked at all your pics, your doggies are stunning! So you do the show thing hunh? How hard is it to keep them that gorgeous?
LOL, must be paranoid to let them move before a show, hehehhee. I always wondered about that. How many OES do you have? |
Oooohhhhh.....PUPPIES!!
Bear & Dandi are gorgeous!! How old are they now? Great names, by the way. So sorry about Grizzly. They really do become a part of you. You're in NJ, huh? Please hop on over to the General Chat section and read the thread about the upcoming Philadelphia area picnic. It'd be great fun for Bear & Dandi! |
Thanks Tammy My pups are 13 weeks old, quite a handful, but having a blast!
Boy your Beau and Gen are beautiful, Beau looks like a BIG BOY, :0) I enjoyed your pics very much. I'm glad to find so many with a couple OES or even 3 . Bear and Dandi are so bonded being sibblings they get very upset when seperated, but we just hope they stay so tight when they are adults. They seem to love each other so much but still have some puppy squabbles sometimes for a few seconds over food or toys! I will take a look at the general chat about the picnic, thanks ! |
Thanks, Eve!
In your avatar, which is Bear and which is Dandi? Is one of them a white head? Are the both males or male & female? As for having multiple sheepies, I'm sure you've heard the saying "Old English Sheepdogs are like potato chips, you can't have just one!" |
Tammy, Bear is a male (white head) Dandi is a female black ear/s
Yeah, on the potato chips and can't eat just one, LOL So do all of your doggies get along? Ya think mine being brother and sister and the fact they will be spayed/neutered at 6 months, that they will always remain close as adults? |
Welcome Eve! Beautiful pups, they won't replace the one you lost but will fill your heart with joy. |
Hi, welcome to the forum. Are you in Northern, Central or Southern Jersey? We live in South Jersey, 15 minutes NE of Philly. I hope you can come to the Philadelphia picnic too, here is the link - http://forum.oes.org/viewtopic.php?t=5424 |
Welcome, I've forgotten how nice squeaky toys sound at 3 a.m......... |
Thanks guys, hehehhee ! Gotta love those squeaky toys
I also live in South Jesry don't know about the picnic , my 2 still need to finish their vacinations before meeting new doggies . When is it ? |
May 20th. |
Hi Eve,
To answer your question..2 get along fabulously...but the older dog (sheepie wannabee) was not thrilled with his new rescue brother, so he's still miffed after two years. You'll find many of the regulars on here are multi-dog families..some even have six!! Check the behavior forum and you'll hear lots of stories of the going ons of multi dog households. Most seem to get along really well and keep each other company. Have fun and be prepared for lots of reading! PS this site is addictive! Marianne and the boys |
