Scams-Las Vegas Actionable Award Program
My mother-in-law received a sweepstake notification today. Bless her heart she thought she had won $3,000,000. Just send $20 to claim your prize. And oh yes, you are sworn to secrecy!!!! My mother-in-law is almost 82 years old and doesn't have the $20 to spare but, she was ready to mail it off. She remembered that awhile back she had entered something and this must be it. I knew that any contest wanting you to send money before you can get your prize is not on the up and up. I came home and looked it up online. Sure enough, site after site about it being a fraud. Imagine that!!!! This was the Las Vegas Actionable Award Program, I know there are others out there all the time. It just makes me mad, I needed to vent. Maybe I'll send the envelope back with a $20 present from Mojo! |

| Isn't sad how these scams prey on the vunerable. We get them here too and when they ask to send money to collect a so called prize well it is amazing the people that do!! I just throw them in the trash.
I even had a recorded message on the phone saying I won an all expense paid trip to Florida for the whole family, press 9 to claim your prize. WHICH I DIDN'T!! That was a scam too, if you press 9 then they take over your telephone and you end up with thousands of dollars in charges on the next phone bill. That is going around here at the moment and I wonder how many have been sucked into that one  |
