Just wanted to let you know that we picked up our new pup on Saturday. We had a 3.5 hour drive home and unfortunately on the long way home we learned that my husband's father passed away. We hadn't decided on a name yet, so we named our new pup Frank after his father. The poor pup was very quiet on the way home which we discovered after a while was because he had motion sickness (poor guy). The first day he was a very mellow boy but as soon as he felt more at home the he really came out of his shell. He's been exploring every inch of our house possible and dragging his toys all over the place. Completely adorable as expected. I thought we were going to be blessed with the housebreaking as the first couple of nights he slept from 11pm to 6am without waking. But the 3rd night we were awakened at 3:30am from what sounded someone pouring a bucket of water on the floor. Since then housebreaking has been 75% outside 25% inside. So I think the quick housebreaking may be promising. Since Sunday our puppy has had many visiters, from the little girls down the block, to people stopping their cars in the middle of the street to ask me about him as they've watched him do his little bunny-hopping running across the yard. I will post pictures (many) very soon and keep you posted how the puppy journey continues. I am already forgetting what a good night of sleep felt like! until then.. Deb |

Hi,
I'm sorry too about the loss of one of your family members. The pup sounds so incredibly cute and Frank is the perfect name for such a bundle of joy. I can see why they attract so much attention no matter where they go. Their antics will keep you laughing and brings smiles even on the gloomiest of days. I hope you spend many happy years with your new boy and can't wait to see the pics. Congrats on your new boy!! Marianne |
Congratulations on your new addition Frank. I am sorry about your father in law. We also have a 9/10 week old puppy. She also pounces like a rabbit. She is the cutest thing. I want to post pictures soon....as soon as I figure out how. Did you happen to get your puppy in Baltimore? |
Hi,
There are PLENTY (don't say I didn't warn you..) of pictures of little puppy Frank in the pictures section of the forum. And to Weezie, I got him in WV near the MD border. |
