She said she knew a poem -- a favorite of hers for many years that has a line where the sheepdogs are running in pairs.... and she always wanted a pair of OES. I wasn't familiar with the poem so I asked her to send it it me -- it's so nice I thought I'd share it with you all. Marie in Ocala, FL An Old English Sheepdog (author unknown) An Old English Sheepdog A jolly old chap. Don't be surprised If mine sits on your lap. They seldom meet strangers Of this I'm aware, Cause licking and loving's Their natural flair. A large black nose So nicely arranged Bouncing and jumping's Their favorite game. An agile creature With tons of hair With a rolling gate And a rear like a bear. "Shaggy expressions" People proclaim. With yards of curls You'll never arrange. If I had the space You know I declare! I'd have wall to wall Sheepdogs... All running in pairs. A more loving creature I've never found Than the Old English Sheepdog A big shaggy clown. # # # |

Definitely addictive. I'd love to see a few of your pages some time. I'm running out of creative ideas in which I can save $$$ while scrapping. |

I've started playing around with digital scrapbooking which is A LOT cheaper, lol Most of my pictures are digital anyway, so it saves a step in getting them printed. Here are a couple of the latest examples of my digital ones: |

Please recommend a program or site for me and maybe I'll try it too. Do you print them out at home as well? |

I print them out at kodakgallery.com since I don't have a printer. |
Photoshop rocks.
Where do you get the backgrounds and cutouts? Do you buy them or can you get them from the internet? Don't bother printing them at home. Unless you have a super printer, the cost and hassle of getting it right it's not worth it, it's much better getting them for a lab like you do. |

For those backgrounds, I went to Jason's unit's website and I borrowed a camo image. I just increased the size for that to do the background. For the second one, I googled "heart" under the images and I got the picture of the heart. Easy. This way works for now, but my plan is to eventually convert them all to paper also. I like the feel of the materials, and this way, you just get the look. I'm sure this way will last longer though. I can just imagine all the ribbons, buttons, etc... falling off when the boys are looking through their scrapbooks when they get older. There are stores you can buy papers, embellishments, etc... for it though. Here's two I made yesterday from stuff I got at some of the online stores: And one of our daughter. The picture is blurry, but all of our pics of her are a little. I went with a butterfly theme because there were hundreds of them at her graveyard service. Everytime I see one, it makes me think of her now. Her 6th birthday is coming up soon, so it's time to do something with her photos. |
Do you still have an oes that needs adopted? I live in Ocala and would love to have another one. mine died at the age of 10 about 3 yrs. agao |
